I've heard people saying that the RFL have confirmed that a Championship team would be promoted come next round of franchising. Does anyone have any printed proof of this? I haven't heard or seen it myself.

However the problem I have is the RFL give out these License grades of 'A', 'B' and 'C'. In their manefesto it says that an 'A' and 'B' license are granted a super league license by right. As a 'B' is more or less an 'A' but they need a bit more time to prove it. Therefore if all these teams that are at a 'C' currently get new stadiums and become 'B' license teams how will any Championship get in, if bearing in mind Widnes only got a 'C' license and they are in better shape then a lot of the other Super League teams.

Its easy no championship side will get in cos the rfl rules and criteria will change again.

The only way it will happen is if another team throws in the towel or the league is expanded but I believe that it will only be expanded to facilitate an 'expansion club'. Let's face it, none of the other criteria paticularly matter.

I couldn't give a rat's ass anymore. Let's just take it as read that no Championship club will get into SL from here on in, unless from outside the M62 corridor. Free our forum up

I saw two blokes today with printed matter on the back of their t-shirts. Something along the lines of:

The Fax?
No
The Fix!

Grand Final - Yes
NRC - Yes
Facilities - Yes
U23 - Yes
Fan base - Yes
RFL bung - no

Anyone know them? Must have got them printed up this week for display at today's match. Good effort.

Simple answer is they cant. It is an imposiblility, how can a Championships teams application be judged fairly on the same criteria as a SL teams?
