It all dends on mindset and players attitudes at Widnes.Some players have Superleague contracts and others given the boot.When Widnes play they can beat anybody apart from Leigh. Widnes do have difficult games but can beat Fev if really want it, and two bonus points maybe enough.I hope we get the win at Fev so we can not worry and in the bag.My prediction Leigh,Fev,Batley,Widnes,Fax,Sheffield.If anything changes the only swap would be Fax and Widnes so we will end up playing each other in the playoffs.Last game for 3 yrs.

One side (yes deserve rewarding for being champs) get 2/3 of their next salary cap basically in prize money yet everyone else still has to find it from somewhere else!

Back in 2008 I thought it was announced the that the GF Winners from 2009 onwards were going to be awarded £100k to make that comp a bit more glamorous. It was announced by the RFL at the time as one of their sweetners to clubs having no P&R anymore.
It was also mentioned on this board quite a few times last year that the money from the GF win was needed otherwise the club was going to be in some financial peril.

Fairly sure it has been reduced to £ 50 K

The £ 200 k that J 20 mentioned is the total Sponsoship deal including the individual TV recompense monies , thats why I was asking him for a ' link ' ?

I just recall what was said at the time of P&R being scrapped and pretty sure members of Fax BOD have refereed to the amount too?

Though I'm sure you have links to the contary?

I asked first ? , definatley no mention of £ 200 K as prize money , yes they stated £ 100 K , but I have been told since that isn't correct , 50 K for the winners with a smaller amount for the other finalist

Since when do the RFL tell the exact truth on these things ? , they ' spin ' them for all they are worth , much like the 2.1 million ' available ' to the Championship clubs

Aye '£200,000 prize pot' seems to be the term... Let's hope Halifax didn't budget on that one then

Typical RFL... tell you what you want to hear and then quietly change it all in the background and hope that no-one notices.
