Sad news, just been speaking to an ex player who said he was a lovely bloke. Hope his family get help from the rugby community.

terrible news, was a solid player and always seemed a happy and polite guy, only 28 aswell just awful, RIP Dana.

Don't know how it could be arranged, bringing 4 clubs together, but out of season, how about a game consisting of Leigh players, Oldham players, Halifax players and Swinton players, proceeds to Dana'd family?

Life can be so cruel. From what I understand Dana was a real Gentleman of the field who loved his family. I am sure the Club as well as the fans would do anything to help Dana´s family and I know whilst he never was a star for Fax he was still highly thought of by players, Coaches, Back Room Staff, The Board and fans. RIP mate

Perhaps it could be arranged that as part of the pre season, Leigh, Swinton, Halifax and Oldham could have some games against each other with half the proceeds going to Dana's Family perhaps in a trust fund for his children. After all he gave to these clubs and fans i am sure they could get a venue packed in recognition of what a Giant he was amongst Rugby players and men alike.

Rugby League will pay their respects to Swinton Lions player Dana Wilson by honouring a minute’s silence before each of this weekend’s Engage Super League fixtures and Co-operative Championships play-off ties.

I sponsered Dana a few years ago and will be wearing his shirt tonight in respect and also for luck

He was a cracking bloke and will be sadly missed
