To quote Englishman Al Murray: "point your finger and say 'shame on you!'" at the RFL and Steve McNamara.
If there aren't enough quality 'English' half backs in this country, who do we have to blame? Ours clubs, that's who! They're the ones that have continuously imported the antipodeans into our game and haven't brought enough of our own youngsters through. They new young talent is now few and far between as they are still fighting to take the place of overseas players. These overseas players may not count on the quota in some instances due to the Kolpak rule or residency, but it still does not shy away from the fact that they are still overseas players, and not brought through the ranks in British clubs. Then, if the RFL try to reduce the number of quota and/or other overseas players, our clubs threaten to sue the RFL with restriction of trade. I'm afraid, in the quest for success, the game in this country has shot itself in the foot.
