I reckon some of the RFL's thinking is because it is an artificial pitch it won't be affected by the elements as much as this year's Finals day was. Remember there were three games played on a surface ravaged by the rain which turned the Championship final into a bit of a no contest.

The venue isn't important, the fact its played on a Sunday really stinks.

Still less than 10,000 until the North Stand is 'fixed', isn't it? To be fair they played the 2001 Grand Final at Rochdale when the Hornets made it as far as the Major Semi when they lost at home to Oldham, so it's come close to happening before!

The Grand final stopped being at Widnes when they came down and now it looks like it is returning there now they have gone back up. I would love to see the final at Headingly like it was in 2007 that would be good.

Cheap beers in the Widnes social club bar and the Town Centre only 10 mins walk away.The Crown pub near the Station does nice food. Anyway goodluck next year.

And you still have not apologised for trying to assassinate me.

For Fax fans' after your friendly on Boxing day he made me walk 5 miles home just so he could get to Warrington by3pm Boxing day.

Didn't. I had no money left being a frail pensioner and my kids taking my fuel allowance so they could have meat for Christmas.

They are also discussing putting me in a home.
