Two Welsh teams in the division below, 4 new teams to be promoted into the Championship 1 next year, we all stand no chance I'm afraid.

There are others and tho I think it will take more than some sheeting over a terrace to impress the RFL, I also think it will require a catclismic collapse of a club for another Champ club to be elevated. Filling dead man's shoes is not what I want out of the game, but that's what it looks like it will become sadly.

POR isn't a decent enough ground... isn't that the major problem for any application from Fev?

Well aye, that's been the case for ages. That's the plan to errect re-cycled stands and make the ground decent enough for SL.
Whether that's enough is the subject of this thread. It can be argued that if we paid for a ground like the LSV, we still wouldn't have a cat in hell's chance of a SL slot.

If as you suggest, that's the only "major" problem I'd suggest we'll be in SL in 2014.
Somehow, I feel there will be many many more hurdles to jump, if we (or any other champ club) get there at all.

Perhaps Queen Amidala could speak with the Senate and help introduce new powers to the acting Chancellor. I think thats the best route.

Let's not forget Toulouse sniffing around in the background! They are still in NRC for a reason.

And a tactical move by the RFL. They are in France now, in a different competition so can't be compared to the rest of us! No goal posts need moving here!

I've said it before. If Toulouse get in SL next time, I'm completely done with RL, after what would have been backdoor tactics by the RFL.

If they are gonna use licensing to strengthen our game, great, but would Toulouse he stronger than any championship side?
