Sad news. At one point he was on the transfer list at Leeds for something like a quarter mil.

All the details haven't emerged but it seems Mick took his own life which is very sad indeed! RIP Mick Shaw

I remember Mick from school, and have seen him around a few times over the years. I haven't seen any local news because I dont live in Halifax anymore so I was quite taken aback.

Remember him playing against us for Leeds at Thrum Hall. He had devastating pace and made a lot of yards from AHB that day.

I often wonder why Fax didn't snap him up instead of Leeds but then again we were pretty strong at 9 in those days.
