Fax are not ready for SL on or off the field. I am not knocking the work people do as most of it is done on a voluntary basis. We dont have the money to realistically compete. We lack qualified people who are paid fulltime to run the club - CEO, Commercial manager, Marketing Manager etc. The Shay requires still plenty more work to be ready for SL despite last years games. North Stand, Toilets in the Skircoat End etc. Crowds are still too small as we cant even get 2500 fans in except on odd occassions. The Academy is way off what is required. Most of the players are not Sl standard and never will be and that includes all the Young lads. If we go in to SL we would get hammered most of the time like Widnes and we would have no chance of silverware. Personally I think Fax ( and for that matter Fev) are best staying where they are for now until they are in a better position. SL is not the be all and end all. Championship clubs keep getting shafted by the RFL and would be best to not believe the BS- look at Crusaders for example. We would be losing money and respect by being in SL and are best staying where we are being a big fish and not losing heaps of money which in my opinion would happen in SL. Rather us stay where we are for now especially with the retards at RFL.
