Bulls are losing money because they have no cash flow and that's due to the fact they sold their season tickets for sweet FA, short term thinking from a board that had no idea.
You reap what you sow but I do have a little bit of sympathy for the Bulls supporters, only a little mind you.

Whilst people who "pledged" are saying they will be angry if the club does go to admin, I dont think the pledge system was a great idea, the club needed the money fast, did not want to go into admin as that brought penaltys such as point deductions ect. but the money only went to the bank, and the £500k needed in the next month or so after now turns out to be 2 and a half times that amount.

The Bulls trust should have collected the money, and held it until they knew the full extent of the crisis, and how it would be spent, but instead backed the idea,

Worrying thing is, as time goes by it looks to be getting more and more dire for the bulls, and there's probably more bad news to come

the fans were duped into paying £500k to the taxman on historical debts - i hope they see sense and call it a day under the current company structure - the question that i don't understand is that if the previous directors could have been outvoted by a majority of shareholders why didn't they - they had to approve the mountain of debt in the accounts every year - this £1.75m of negative cashflow hasn't emered overnight

it all stinks rotten - time to say bye to the bulls in sl imo

I cringe when I see cheap season tickets on sale.

Who's the target market here ? People who come for five games a season ?

And what you lose is the cash that the fans who come to all (or even nearly all) the games would have paid.

Its all about NUMBERS I am sick and tired of arguing this point, the RFL are obsessed by crowd figures, they don't see the long term down side of giving your product away either cheap or free it is the road to financial ruin.
But you will get the SL fraternity saying how bad losing the Bulls and their support would be, the same support who would probably NOT pay full price for the same product even if it meant their club surviving.
I would love to see the game go back to declaring true crowds that is the number of fans that go through the turnstiles only, not this season ticket holders and free tickets issued rubbish inflating the figures to please Fat Controller so he can say how popular the game is.
You see how bad it is when the Chalenge Cup crowds are published as these can't be inflated as they are a shared gate from all paying crowds. But fat Controller blames the lack of interrest in the CC, not that it shows the game is not doing as well as they think it is!

I agree. It devalues your product. People get used to paying bu99er all to watch.

there were 11,000 at Odsal yesterday Apparenty! (all hiding behind the main stand i presume!)

Unfortunatley you have to play the RFL's daft games to be taken seriously though.

Our 5000 plus crowd vs Batley is proof!

Do we really think its possible to sue RFL over licences? Would any club in that position have the finances to do that? Or are we all just made false promises in order to be quiet?

I think the whole bulls thing shows how shambolic and painfully staged licencing is. The RFL are their own worst enemies. Championship clubs need to form an alliance and tackle the RFL from a position of strength. We should start by refusing to be promoted to SL if the bulls go pop. If they do

Or maybe the RFL are doing a grand job and we're all just bitter cos we're not part of the super league party?
