So if the cup was for the champions v champions why did they play Pía.

This must be a one time only thing. Badly organised, badly attended, badly promoted, badly explained..... Sums up the RFL

Think its the Mr Wood and the rfl can't wait to give more French teams licences to play in the super league but this little experiment went wrong for them showing just how much better the championship sides are!

Because they announced the fixtures before the French play offs so had to use the league table as the basis.

No he didn't play in the game. Think Shad has played his last game for them. He is returning to Aus with his family and needs knee surgery. May be the end of his playing career.

Yeah, with the French eccentrically playing in winter, the RFL couldn't wait to see who won the play-offs.

Wouldn't it have been better to play this later in the season - or better still, not at all.

And - let's be fair - English champions v French champions ? Fev won the second tier championship.

Though it looks like the third tier might have made a better competition. Div 3 are needing a few extra games next season, aren't they ?

If asked, I suspect that the RFL would suggest that Catalans represent the top tier of French RL, with the Elite league below it.

Then Catalans must be French Champions.
