Unlikely, obviously.
But the first team has, arguably, contributed more to the games it lost.
Let's look at the effect of going back to 2-1-0.
You get one less point for winning.
You get one less point for drawing.
You get one less point for losing by 12 or less.
You get exactly the same as now for losing by more than 12.
How would that benefit anyone except teams who lose by a big margin ?
Why would you want to favour teams who give in ?
