There's a lot left to run in this saga yet
Of the £1.5 million still owed to creditors, It'd be presumed that theres still a fair sum owed to HMRC. Who won't simply go away as easy as some smaller businesses who may reluctantly decide to cut their losses.
Would it be a possibility that they could go back in Administration to seek a CVA?
I am guessing the old club will be wound up so even if HMRC dont accept the Administrators proposal it will be tough luck. I think the RFL had previously said a new club would be allowed to take over/continue the current season.
I am always wary of new owners of clubs who like to introduce themselves to the crowd prior to a match. All too egotistical for me. Can only remember seeing it happen once at the Shay and that was former Darlington FC owner George Reynolds when they played at Halifax, first game of the season. Look how things ended up there.
With ego's come false promises (£6m in Odsal, etc) and I just cannot see a happy ending even if, for now, their future seems to be saved.
