there doesn't sound much of a plan at all from the t&a articles - bounced into a decision by the administrator at the 11th hour when home matches had been all but completed, £6m to turn the ground into the wembley of the north ( ), on balance, its a no from me as well

By virtue of their large home support they'll be in SL for a long time. However, Khan isn't a Ken Davy or a David Hughes. No way is he going to tip his curry money into the bottomless wok that is Bradford Bulls. They'll be a mid-table team for a long time and when their fans are asked to pay full whack for a season ticket their crowds will bottom out at 8,000 - still probably a better option than any current Championship club without a backer though. The thorny issue for the RFL is how to stop Chairmen from doing this in future and unfortunately when they hand NewBulls a license the chance to set an example to these other Chairmen will have disappeared quicker than a Vindaloo down an alimentary canal.

Khan may open a few enterprises in the Odsal complex to fund his new venture but i think the stadium upkeep costs are still to shock him yet. He may have done his due dilligence but i bet there's some things old Guilfoyle didn't bring to his attention.

Christie has posted this on every clubs forum and I said No too.I am a Widnes fan as most of you know and we did not get treated this way.I still look out for clubs in the Championship.Every club should have a chance how big or small they are to be honest.Sport likes upsets and drama, but for me Sport should be done fairly.

Elbowing Rangers out of the top division will no doubt cost the game in Scotland a boatload of money. What sticks in my craw is that the loss won't be borne by the people who made that decision, who will, no doubt, still draw their fat salaries from their businesses outside the game. It'll be the part-time or maybe low grade full time players at clubs outside the top division, young kids just signed up for a mortgage perhaps, who get told "Sorry son, there's no money to renew your contract".

In terms of sponsorship overall they will lose out but currently all the 3rd Division clubs are getting at least one much larger home gate this season, and possibly next if Rangers don't pull their fingers out. Not sure how much less they are getting from sponsorship but they may think it is worth it for this season, dunno.
I just wonder how many Bulls fans would make a trip up to Cumbria or London Skolars if they were kicked down a couple of leagues?

Not much help to the bloke with the building society on his back, though, is it ? That's who I feel sorry for.

I 100% agree with you. It really p!sses me off that people are allowed to do this time and again, same with football teams who don't really give a toss about anybody.

My previous comment was tongue in cheek.

Of the £1.5 million still owed to creditors, It'd be presumed that theres still a fair sum owed to HMRC. Who won't simply go away as easy as some smaller businesses who may reluctantly decide to cut their losses.

Would it be a possibility that they could go back in Administration to seek a CVA?

I am guessing the old club will be wound up so even if HMRC dont accept the Administrators proposal it will be tough luck. I think the RFL had previously said a new club would be allowed to take over/continue the current season.

I am always wary of new owners of clubs who like to introduce themselves to the crowd prior to a match. All too egotistical for me. Can only remember seeing it happen once at the Shay and that was former Darlington FC owner George Reynolds when they played at Halifax, first game of the season. Look how things ended up there.

With ego's come false promises (£6m in Odsal, etc) and I just cannot see a happy ending even if, for now, their future seems to be saved.

It was just missing the Stanford Helicopter and briefcase full of money or the Michael Knighton Tee-Ups, perhaps OK should have walked onto the pitch with a set meal for 3 and extra poppadoms.

Lets just stick to what we know for a bit longer, Sundays game was a belter.
