I for one would rather have lost Penky 2 or 3 seasons ago and kept hold of Gleeson or Beswick, both much more rounded players

I think in Karl Ashall we have a player who can bring more to the team than Penky did.

Never read so much crap in all my life. Penky's distribution was as good as anybody I have seen at hooker.

Here we go......

Somebody posts a response that Nat disagrees with so yet again sets out on a charm offensive!!

Penky was prone to throwing out a silly pass, throwing it at his own players head etc. His strength was running at defenders around the ruck and unlocking defenses with his speed out of the blocks and at worst winning relieving penalties. Obviously he had a very intelligent rugby brain and could read a game as well as I can remember but his passing and distribution was questionable more often than not.

If you can't / couldnt see that then that's cr@p!!

Well everyone is entitled to their opinion and i share the same view as inoffski! Penky could be outstanding but could also be a liability. Its time we moved on and stop talking about the "Penky show". Ashall will do a good job if selected and we will find new strengths in other areas.

I think the issue is that anyone should be entitled to their opinion without being shot down. I would have thought that part of a good moderators brief would be to try and encourage debate without ridiculing it.
