I would just like to thank all who attended the meeting on Wed` evening and I thought I would just post a few of the fundraising ideas for this next season.
As the Club has decided "twinning " with a Super League Team is not for them the Supporters Trust has pledged their commitment to the Board and we intend to try to increase the amount we raise for Faxbuilder this year. Everyone realises fundraising in this economic climate will not be easy but the amount of support we have been given since announcing our intentions has been tremendous .The "name on the shirt " has already raised substantial funds to kickstart our campaign and we hope as many people as possible turn out for the shirt launch later this month.
At this launch we are hopeing to have a few new Faxbuilder ideas for you all to get involved with eg.
The Halifax Board have allowed us to realise sponsorship for the younger players (Under 19s & 23s) so we are looking for £100 for each of these players .It`s a super oportunity to get involved with sponsoring the young stars of the future and now as some of these players are breaking into the first team you could find as the season progresses you have "backed a winner" at a more down to earth price. It does not have to be a company sponsorship either it`s open to anyone and it`s ideal for friends and family. Your name goes in the programme just like the first team squad and your name will be recognised at the matches when the youngsters are playing .
Another new idea is" Buying a Square of the Pitch" A graph of the pitch containing 1- 200 squares will be printed in the programme along with your name recognising your contribution and you can purchase one of these numbered squares for only £10 .At half time on the pitch at every home match they will draw out a number , if the lucky winner is there they can claim a complimentary matchday hopitality meal at a game of their choice.
In Jan we will be holding a race night and the Summer Bash is also in the calender for late June.
The monthly quiz nights at the Ivy will be also continuing and we are very appreciative of Petes support for Faxbuilder.
We have also had offers from supporters volunteering to do a sponsored walk similar to the one to Keighley this year we are awaiting the fixture lists to see when that may be.
Well that is it for the present , please support all you can and we will still be collecting your pledges at every match it`s a massive boost to funds and has increased significently over the two seasons .
More help is always needed and if you need any more info` please ask.
