He can't attract financiers to the game, let alone Salford. Actually - maybe he'll do a deal with Salford Van Hire - they won't have to pay for livery then.

Leeds Hawks and Hull Knights etc can have 5 players that DONT count towards the Salary cap! Whats the point of having a Salary cap then? The game needs a massive shake up with SL clubs losing the power they have and certain people being kicked out the game. Theres so many warring faction within our game at various levels its a joke and much of the problem lies firmly at the RFLs door. I cant see much of a future for the game myself the way things are going. Wood, Rimmer, Cummins, Mather, Kazandjian, Ledger are all people who should leave the RFL but their selfishness and egos will never see that unless they are sacked sadly

We were told at the ST meeting last night that the super league players WILL count towards the Championship clubs salary cap. This will be on a sliding scale depending on what the player earns, between £500 and £2000 per player per game. This will not be paid by the club, but will in effect be a reduction in the cap for the Championship team. So having 5 DR players in your championship team for 10 games will reduce the clubs cap by a minimum of £25000!!

What happens if promotion is brought back and one of these twinned teams wins promotion?

Is lack of ambition a SL criteria now?

Well aparently ' twinned ' clubs are not allowed to apply for SL, good job Leigh aren't actually in that type of arrangement with the pies eh? ,

Bit of a red herring really. Any team which gets promotion will immediately dump 80% of its players and get new ones.
