These arrangements have the potential to alter the outcome of the league. Imagine, a York side packed with hull first teamers beats Halifax at the Shay. The next week they play Leigh without any Hull players and get smashed. Same could happen at the other end of the table. Results are lottery based on who is available and the quality that is available. This will only serve to cheapen the competition. This happens I put my coat on.

As an aside, they put Toulouse in super league, I slam the door behind me.

I'd like to think otherwise but I feel this wont end well for championship clubs if we're not careful

The bottom line is as always with the RFL / SL and the Fat Controller - spin!
You either fall for his bullsh*t or not, the fact is this system has been put in place because the SL clubs decided not to run a 'Reserve' or U23 with a limited number of over age players allowed team due entirely to finance, they say they cannot afford to?????
So to get them out of this hole the idea is to 'twin' with a Championship club who can let some of the SL clubs fringe players get some game time but reduces their costs as the player will only play when wanted by either club, but as a result means less players on the SL clubs books as they only need a few to help keep their squad numbers at a level to cover injuries.
The game is in a mess when its top league cannot afford (so they say) to run a reserve team, as many have already said especially Karl Harrison - 'where does an over 20 year old young lad play now in this set up? Look how many players were 'cut' from SL squads last year? Maybe the SL clubs don't see it as a priority developing lads over 20, yet players develop at different age bands, some especially forwards develop in their mid to late twenties, yet many have been sent back into the amateur game if they bother carrying on or are lost to the game forever!

Yet this whole idea has been wrapped up and smoke screened into being a good thing for Championship clubs, yer right, he must think we are all thick.

Unfortunatly the people running our clubs are, because they will believe anything that they are told will save them money or is for their benifit, no matter how unlikely

They have created a fear, a fear of dropping into the nonsense league, and that fear now plays into the hands of the RFL ,

What happens if a Quota player is DR. Will he count on the Quota if he plays for a CC team?

Quota players only have Visa's to play for 1 club, they cannot be loaned or DR

No but it's where the Super League clubs players who are not getting a regular first team spot or their juniors or their lads just back from injury etc will get a game when it suits the Super League team of course.

Is that rule still in place where a DR player must have played in so many games prior to the playoffs to be eligible?

Lets just say Workington use a heavy rotation of their own players, and "better" Widnes players. but when the Playoffs arrive due to the heavy rotation of DR players few are available, meaning Workington will be weakened from how they have been for the majority of the season.

So the situation as far as the top tier Champ clubs who aren't using it is that it's all bollox, but the lower clubs and their fans will no doubt love it.

Who's right, who's wrong? Only time will tell.
