Rettie, Manning and Thacks looked good, the rest tried but it was a frustrating afternoon.
Some credit must go the York who never gave it up and as soon as we stood off and waited instead of moving up in defence Elvis and co started to run in the space, that's what cost us against Fev.
A win is a win and if those goal kicks had been adjudged the other way round we would have got out first bonus point.
Stokes, well the less said the better, another game ruined.

I fully appreciate I will get shot down, but hey ho, Murell, today, kicked on every five tackles, none came off, at least one on Yorks 20 got scooped up and luckily Manning, caught him. Was below par, Needs to step up. Thaks was superb, Handford was all over the pitch, and Patterson, should have done better with both Yorks two tries in the first half. Only my opinion. discuss.
Yes halifaxjohn rettie should have scored however he was our best back and forward ( ! ) today . Thought he ran hard and broke the line well. Agree re Murrell . Kicking was average today and didn't create anything although without a platform that's not surprising - perhaps lacking a bit of match fitness ?

Firstly, you've spelt "Murrell" wrong. But more importantly, you seemed to have forgotten that one of "Murrell"'s kicks actually created Sheriffe's "match winning try". Was you at the game by any chance? Or was you at one of your classes?

It dosnt happen often but I agree with TF, did you actually watch the game?
I agree with Murrell but Thackery and Handforth? Between them struggled to open Yorks defence and saw more loose passes off Thackery today than his norm. Couldnt help but think Presley looked far better than any of our halfs today.
Stokes was poor as per but for both sides. York had a perfectly good try disallowed when he called held before the player stopped moving and he grounded the ball. He does seem to struggle to earn the players respect though but maybe thats because he wont talk to them.

HJ finished his post with the words "only my opinion"... Just because it differs from yours you question whether he was watching he game??
I actually agree with HJ and watched all 80 minutes without even blinking..
Very disappointing game, poor all way round, we are still brittle after the Fev defeat , how many passes hit the deck? We only looked good for about 10 minutes around the 65 minute mark when we put some urgency in our game but boy was that dour today, we need to step it up at Leigh as they play a fast game and we will struggle but i am sure we won't be as bad as today plus Murrell will feel more confident having played a game.
