I suppose it's the old adage that with hindsight everyones a genius and some of the signings could possibly have been different.
Also at the time when KH first took over there was still not much prospect of us progressing so he signed players that he knew and thought would do a job for us.
Taking Hesketh as an example, at this level he had a good record and looked to be a good guy to have on board.
As it turned out he couldn't rediscover his old form that a year or season or so earlier had SL clubs showing interest in him.
KH did not let feelings or anything else get in the way of replacing him.
The same will apply to others that have been given a chance to do a job but as he said after the Fev game either wouldn't do it or couldn't do it.
Now the situation seems to be changing with a chance for the club to progress the BOD and coaching staff are clearly getting as many quality players who are of the right age with the right experience and ability onboard.
It is one step at a time gradually building for now but with one eye on the future.
Any new recruit will in their opinion improve the club on the field for the next step.
If and when we ever get a chance to be in SL then some of these players will be good enough and some won't and at that time better players will be replacing them.
Considering the finacial climate out there, the state the game has been in and how low the crowds have been how fortunate are we to have the people at the top in place that inspite of all of this are doing what they are doing.
I would't swap Fax for any club in this context all things considered.
As they have said we are a club on the up that people want to play for and that is a rare thing these days.
