I see no fun in taking the rise out of Widnes not being able to raise a side at that age group to be fair to them, they've been at the forefront of the amateur scene & for a few years now have supplied a lot of kids into the pro game.

John some say 1840 was the year I was born , I must admit I do like Nostalgia , I love 50s and 60s TV series on dvd , I think Fax had a good team then I remember games at Thrum Hall , I bet you and Colin Dixon were good mates .

Me too when he ( and Jack Scroby ) coached me in my youth. I remember Zook Ema treading over the top of me right in front of the away dugouts at Craven Park playing in the "A" team against Hull KR one friday night in front of a couple of thousand speccies & as i re-gathered my senses ( ish ) Colin yelled at me, "get after him, don't let him get away with that ". I would have loved to Colin, I just didn't have it in me !!!!
Great bloke, everyone loved Colin, he once gave me his Halifax shirt to train in & someone failed to return it to me years later after borrowing it for a fancy dress party, GUTTED.
