It certainly seems that KH wishes to build a team very much like Fev, really tough to beat but very little flair and just built around getting on top of teams. Fev now look like they are wanting to move a touch away from this with their signings. All that is in stark contrast to Sheffield who have overtaken Fev as the best team in the league and have flair and quality in a abundance.

Thanks for your feedback on Ben Kaye Roy.

As regards Penky at this level I think he was amost irreplacable, anyone as good as him in the attacking sense I personally have not seen in the Championship and anyone better than him would not be in the Championship.

With Kayne and Mennell and young Holden we will have options, even within the same game they can be interchanged to mix things up.

The 9 spot has often been used to do this, Saints, Leeds and Bradford when they were at their best had two hookers on the team sheet, eg Cunningham and Roby at Saints that were top players as individuals and as a duo would ask different questions for the oppostion, at our level lets hope these boys can do the same thing.

We rotated Penky/Beswick when we were at our attacking best.

Personally would rather have seen Holden get more game time. I just dont see him getting much more than a few minutes here and there. I feel KH has to trust him more than he has done and will do.He adds a bit of spark when he does come on.
Kaye is a very good defensive player, but I feel he is average on attack and Mennell is another who will do a job but is not a flair type player for me. When you look at the quality and flair Fev (Ellis)and Sheffield (Henderson) have at 9 I think our 9s are some way behind them. I want to see a hooker who can change a game and direct things. Sadly I just cant see that coming with Kaye or Mennell. And with Brown and Johnston we look still slow and boring in attack. I just cant see much flair coming out again next season and again with respect to the signings we have made so far they are hardly big names that will see floating fans interested. I hope I am wrong but I dont see us getting near Fev or Sheffield with the signings so far

Had Powell still been at Fev so would Kaye but we move on. You have signed a player that will give 100% everytime he puts the Fax shirt on He attitude and commitment is second to none and he will be an asset in the changing room on match day and on the field that's for sure. Hope you don't compare him to Penky as he is a totally different kind of player IMO he will improve your team and I think most of you will be more than happy that he's playing for you
