SL clubs running Rugby League will be the death knell for non-SL clubs. Long term - they will destroy RL because they can't help themselves. They are greedy and mismanage their clubs. OK, Nigel Wood isn't the answer either but as soon as RFL lose independence and the power to run the game then self-interested chaos will ensue.

With all of this going on I'm slowly wondering why bother. I can't get excited about a game, let alone a season. Through no fault of Halifax RLFC I'm seriously questioning not bothering next season. I've simply become fed up of having nothing to play for, even less now if the NRC goes....

The game is a shambles and I can't get enthused about anything.

I know what you mean but as long as Halifax RLFC exist I will support them as I have all my life. As my father and uncle did and as my grandfather did from pre 1900.

What the SL hierarchy don't seem to realise is that if they drive all the non SL clubs out of business they won't pick up their supporters. Most RL supporters support either their local team or the team they were brought up with and if that team ceased to exist they would simply abandon the game altogether.

I love Rugby League and I love Halifax Rugby League Football Club and. I will coninue to support no matter.
Each to their own though and I do accept and respect other peoples views

I'm not a fan of two-twelves-three-eights. For me, it's like you're in a group of twelve, qualifying for a group of eight, from which you qualify for a group of twelve ...... ad infinitum.

The problem with all these league games is that there's no climax to the season and no big days out. The Grand Final in the middle division is fourth v fifth - says it all really.

Yes - let's have promotion (if you can afford it) and relegation but this just isn't right.

To answer this particular question, frankly I don't know. What i do know is that the disdain amongst the leading figures within the game at the top club level such as Mr Hetherington & Mr Leneghan for two examples won't continue to put up with the likes of our Nigel & the likes' incompetence. Their being so outspoken spells trouble at the top.

To my way of thinking it's just a matter of time now for there to be a big clear out at the top. Those that championed the failed franchise system, have tried to fool us all with statistics around growing crowds, allowed the game to have no main sponsor for its flagship league and have taken on their 'Super' salaries need to fall on their sword and let those who genuinely care about the game and have that business acumen take the helm and make this once great game GREAT again.

Well at least I hope it gets sorted once and for all this time and there is not some half hearted none conclusive compromise deal thrown into the pot.

This power play by certain SL clubs and there Chairmen is using the failings of the RFL to their own selfish ends and as genuine as some of the failings are it is a smoke screen to benefit only them.

It needs answering. Is it Super League or Rugby League.

Once we know where we stand we will be better off than being left like this.
