We enjoyed our four trips to Toulouse and I would welcome another.
Toulouse has over 100 years of Rugby League History, they have a nice tidy ground.
BUT,
1, Toulouse is a Rugby Union Town, their crowds would be the envy of some of our premiership football clubs.
The fans are fanatical, Steve Walsh ex Halifax conditioner is/was in the same position at Toulouse and I can quarantee you he doesn't regret the move.
Second sport in Toulouse is Football, again good crowds. Toulouse RFL will NEVER generate big gates
2. The ground whilst I say "tidy" would not meet current SL guidelines.
BUT,
1, Hey if they get a seperate TV deal then the RFL aren't bothered who turns up.
2, The ground criteria seems to have gone by the board, Castleford, Wakefield?
So my guess?

Looks like I need to brush up on my french.

ps I am not having a go at Cas and Wakey just stating the obvious.

I remember reading a few pieces about Dubai television showing an interest in RL in France but wouldn't be up to investing in Super League unless it was truly 'European'. Big sums were being mentioned too!

Absolute tosh they missed their chance before come on while it was a good trip for us the last time we went there was nobody there!
has Catalans being in SL improved the game in France? Judging by the World Cup 2013 its gone backwards and as others have said its a RU city they are huge and RL will never make an impact there.
This should not happen if it does then the game has learnt NOTHING.

I am guessing this is one last throw of the dice from the grossly incompetent RFL to try save their precious Franchise and expansionist strategy plan.( sorry forgot they have just allowed London to bring in as many Aussies as they want again to avoid any chance of being relegated should P&R get signed off)
Lets get back to the future and start building from the grass roots -get the game run professionally and then maybe start thinking about spreading the RL gospel when we have a house built on firm foundations.

To be fair I think this is Toulouse rather than the RFL they had delusions of grandeur when they were in the Championship and still have now by the sound of it.
