Same old Fax under Harrison, much effort for no reward. Some good things to take away, but very poor to be 8 points up with less than 20 minutes to go and lose by 8 points at the end. We need to play the full 80 and need to play with our brains and cut out the silly mistakes as usual.

Fev used the slope well in the last 20 minutes, making very few mistakes, whereas we started giving away silly penalties and dropped ball. They'll say that the ref gave us all sorts earlier in the game, especially leading up to our second try - but this was all directly in front of us, and the ref got every decision spot on. Maybe got my Fax Blue 'n' White specs on, but their last try did look like a blatant knock on?

Same old, same old from the Fev fans. Took 4 minutes into the game before they started with "W@nky, w@nky Halifax" - no wonder why folk still don't want to go there (especially with the kids).

Agree though, that we need to be able to close games out when we get more than one score up. Other than that, it was a pretty good game, played in a good spirit, with Ben Johnson showing his class again for us.

Frustrating. Couldn't go today due to a wedding but we just can't seem to put the big boys to bed. (Lay off the puns!).

Seen a few tweets saying "we'll learn from mistakes and get better". We've been learning since Calland left! Still think we'll be in the mix though. Leigh could be far out in front after the RFL gave them the easiest start in sport since Foinavon.

SL table looks weird today. Those folks at The Mend A Hose Jungle are top of the league and Nigel Wood's finger is already hovering above the rule change button after the start made by Catalans

The last try was a correct descision as it was knocked down by Fax - although your third try was a weird one as i thought he did a dragback with foot over line which you can do yet gave a dropout which you scored from?

We were average at best - the lack of fluidity is a worry - the best 17 is not known yet

Our halfbacks are nowhere hear where they should be, we are missing Kain and/or Briggs to give us a lift and bring out a spark be it a decent kick or break

Our new signing Etu Uaisele would also probably lift us a bit too

That said we still got the job done but at this moment we appear well off the pace of Leigh

Johnston by far best player for Fax today

At 8 points up with 15 left we should have seen the game out yet Adamson who decided on numerous occasions last week not to pass decided to throw a 20 yard cut out pass which was forward. That and the same ill discipline that seems to be the norm for our team cost us big time today.

If we are going to finish in the top 2 we cant afford to throw games away from good winning positions. Credit to Fev though because Im not sure we have a win like that in us against a fellow top team when in the position they found themselves.

Rich , Foinavan didn't get a start plenty of horses fell at the fence , Foinavan didn't , simple , as for the Mighty Centurions , ?We will go about our business dispatching our opponents , staying top , Brierley the try machine scoring for fun , be afraid .Charlie knows .

Ah come on it was that forward pass that cost us plus Manning holding in the tackle too long again! Then Scotts hit after coming out of the line it was marginally a late shot.
We could have done them today we just gave them the ball at the wrong time, like they had in the first half.
Give Karl some credit he put Potts at fullback to give us some line speed away from the line which worked and we got the ball along the line much better so things are better come on this is Fev at POR at the end of the day and we were so close, remember they had lost last week and were smarting from that.

Didn't go today and sick at losing after being so close but....how important could that bonus point be at the end of the day? Dirty Dicks, Acorn Four Monkeys 4.5% Mmm!

Enjoyed it, good game of RL, but the vitriol from the Fev fans in our vicinity was appalling. Thankfully, just verbals, but they need to have a talk to themselves if they have any higher aspirations. It's supposedly a family game...
