Top spot done and dusted after todays mauling of Fev at their ground by a class Leigh side(not often that happens!)
Simple scrap for 2nd spot now and the £500k between Donny/Fev/Fax and Sheffield coming up on the rails)
Hope Fax have a strong end to the season, steer clear of major injuries for once, and see if we can mix it with our rivals for once. Looks like a real good season looming for all involved.
4 tries to 3 today- those 4's into 6's are crucial in tight games!

We shouldn't be losing these games..... End of. Workington lost to a team in the league below a couple of weeks ago....

In fairness Chris Fax have taken 8 out of 9 points in Cumbria over last few weeks sandwiched between playing an in form Super league team and also an unbeaten team in our league. Cumbria is a tough place to go at the best of times and I am sure there will be a few surprises up there before the end of the season. What is more worrying is our bench today looked as though it wasn't going to trouble any side in our league. Heaton and Casey our learning their trade still.Likewise Holden is not getting enough game time to make a real impact. Only one recognised prop in Davis. Couple that with no Morrell and I can see why we had to tough it out today. Stick Morrell, Tonks and Robinson in there and I think we look more like it. Looks like KH came unstuck on not having a recognised half back in reserve with Brown at Batley on loan and playing Mennel at 6 as a makeshift solution. Him and Kay at hooker makes the dynamics of the team look much better. Good to see Saxton on the team sheet. Wish we had the money to buy him outright.

Sorry but in fairness it should be 9/9 against those 3 sides! No more no less.

I don't know what it is this season but it all seems flat. Everywhere I look on social media it's Leigh this, Leigh that. Its certainly their moment but it's a moment in THE most crucial time frame in the last decade. Lot's at stake this year and next. Featherstone must be feeling it too. After dominating for four years they're currently being overtaken on and off the field by a club which faced bankruptcy last year. It's an amazing turn of events. Next year - effectively our league becomes Super League II. Here's the teams that are likely to be running the show (I've purposely excluded us for the moment just to illustrate a point):

Leigh
Featherstone
Sheffield
Bradford Bulls
London Broncos

Then to be joined by: (for example)

Wakefield
Hull KR
Widnes
Salford


How are we going to muscle in on that lot if we don't start throwing our weight around? (on AND off the pitch)


This season is 9 games old. There's plenty of time but let's start looking ahead...............

I agree LR and for me our whimper into this season is the most worrying aspect of this year thus far. Yes it us early but seeing how we've thrown so many games away thus year and now struggling versus Workington, I can't see us beating Dewsbury, Keighley, Rochdale or Donny at their place. KH and his poor decisions coaching wise have killed us. We will be so far behind after this season it's hard to see anything positive.
