Awesome effort given the circumstances but too many errors just invited Fev on to us and with us not been able to offer much in attack we were always in trouble when they got in front with us playing up the slope.
I think our season will end next week and to be honest apart from the NRC win with just about Callands team its probably 3 years best forgotten and hopefully a new coach and some new players can bring some desperately needed optimism.
On the plus side it looks like one of our overseas players will be announced tomorrow. Ive not heard anything about the half back but Im hoping for either a nippy stand off to play with Johnston or a Finn type player to lead us around the pitch although I feel we have that in Murrell who should move to his best position of 13 in which case 2 quick halfs could cause teams a lot of problems. If its the prop I already cant wait to see him in action, sounds and looks promising.
On another note we saw today what good it does having some quality at hooker as Fev were well on top of us there and I think we need a real quality hooker to replace Kaye who is an out and out Harrison hooker, no flair just plenty of grit in defence, and we need to give teams something to think about in that area of the pitch. I think Holden does give it to us to some extent but obviously not the finished article but the potential is there.
