I agree with your point about the crowd, no where near 350 Faxfans which I find very disappointing. Any one who won't go again because of the chanting hasn't been there before. BUT, I have said, I find the chanting unnecessary, and to say they are teenagers is a bit silly, if they were why were they allowed in every pub in Blackpool last time we met there. I think a lot of this " I won't go to Fev because of past problems" should read " I won't go to Fev because we nearly always lose" Try turning up Faxfans, it might encourage our team.
There is one main reason the following was poor.....The game meant nothing other than a week off and home advantage the following round. As we found out last year that stands for nowt. I go week in week out but couldn't get myself motivated to go to such a meaningless game. Stupid playoff system. Why did they change from the conventional top 6 system?

Losing is nowt to do with it HJ. We lose at other grounds but I always go. POR is the only RL ground I won't go to and until they sort out the morons who masquerade as fans and give the game a 'soccer' match experience I won't be going again. Apologies to all the genuine Rovers fans of whom there are many.
Agree with most of the previous posts, but had really some "sensible" and enjoyable discussions with Fev fans behind the posts during the game. No animosity at all, just friendly patter about the game.
Fev need to sort out the minority in the Community stand, as the chant we heard isn't what RL is all about?
I can't make the game on Sunday, but if that one goes our way, looking forward to (a more fruitful!) return to POR!!
I don't know about "turning sunday's result around" - FFS we haven't beaten Leigh or Fev this season, get a grip, we aren't good enough.
I heard a story & i trust my source ( s ) that when they beat us at the Shay in the quarter of a million pound game, they were on a grand a man, cheques written & collectable from the paymaster on delivering the result. We got SHALLACKED !!!! on home turf, just like we did against Leigh....
When Fev won at Keighley in the FACEBOOK termed "£450K PARTY" a similar, yet very much trusted source informs me that their matchday players were on over £3K for the result that day. If these snippets of info are remotely correct, we aint ever gonna compete until mr Lottery winner rocks up feeling generous with naff all else to do on a wet summer's sunday afternoon.
Enjoy your rugby folks, i used to do....
MM you surprise me , this is a negative post , with negative views , I compare Fax fans to Leigh fans , as they are Loyal , Vocal , support their team no matter what ,and lov their Town and Team .Whatever Fev pay their players is up to them ,Fax were beating Fev at half time on Sunday and Keighley came very close to beating Fev ,money should not be used as an excuse .As for Fax losing to both Fev and Leigh this season ?Leigh performed the Great Escape at the Shay , and got out of jail , Fax murdered us in the first half , in the second Leigh got their game together and rode the wave of Adrenalin to earn a win .
MM to say you used to enjoy your Rugby amazes me ,Fax need your support as they do from all fans , im a Leigh fan first and formost , but im also a Rugby fan , and enjoy the Fax and Shay experience , the banter and wind-ups are part of this experience , I enjoy Fans fans company and views , don't give up on your team , give me Fax before Fev , London , and Bradford anytime , I have friends at Fev , but like Fax , I will be there on Sunday .Cmon MM , come and join me .

There's not enough in your reply to entice me in. I've watched that garbage for the whole of last season and a portion of this season. If i fall out of love with RL what business is it of your's ? I've been involved in RL at various levels for many years, none more satisfying than when i played the game. Props that only play for 20 minutes nowadays, a hooker that plays for the full 80 is a rarity FFS. Get real, the sport has gone stale as a spectacle. And quite frankly, the Halifax club don't "need me" or any of the other stayaways, they need a committed sugar daddy that requires a new challenge in his/her life. The sport as a whole pays no respect to blokes like me who pay at the gate, the Wembley cup final empty seats was yet again an embarrassment to the sport, the world cup was bouyed by cheap tix, & only last week my daily Groupon offer was for a SL GF offer of half priced tickets of the face value £20. This is all beacuse people like me are no longer as interested as they used to be. These are hard facts. By comparison, I've paid £31 for a seat for this saturday's Leeds Utd v Hudds Town league fixture. WHY, one might ask ? Simply because that's where i'd rather be than pay half that price at the rugby match at the Shay the following day. Disposable income only stretches so far and in fact our club chairman mr Bradshaw bellringer may very well recall a conversation we had during a reserves game last season about my returning to the Leeds Utd fixtures and my own disposable income ( the crux of it was the departure of Ken Bates who didn't respect the casual supporter of the club, amongst many others he disrespected ).
I don't know what it'll take to get me regularly watching Halifax RLFC fixtures again, but winning games might be a good way to start....
That also means a loss of revenue in other ways, I always buy a programme & golden gamble at home games & any remaining coinage then usually gets deposited in the "buckets", no more buying replica shirts, gym kit, raincoats & hoodies from the club shop. Multiply my loss of income by the drop in attendances, go on you do the sums, you're the one who seems more bothered about it ! But i am easily dispensible & replaced by a money man, sugar daddy. I just wish there were some rewards for the like of Messrs Croad, Abbott, Steele, Riley & McNamara, some of whom I know personally and respect. I guess their rewards will only come by the team being successful and in my harsh, crude manner, it's those people who do the interviewing, hiring & firing.
Fair do's like and that's your personal choice. But I guarantee that if fax were 3-0 in games this season v fev, there would have been significantly more fax fans there on Sunday with that "oh Ali ali" chant

This response is typical of the "Im a Victim ", fan ,MM im not bothered if you never go to Shay again , will you be missed ?A BIG NO is the answer , you go to Elland Road , pay whatever you like , as for watching a winning team ,if we all thought that way Leeds , Saints , and Wigan , would be the only teams watched , my Dad once said to me "Choose your team well ,Charlie , you ONLY ever support one team in your life ", I chose Leigh ,it doesn't matter whether they win or lose , or how they win or lose ,im there .Anyway theres no point discussing the matter , as for the rewards of Croad , Abbot , and company , you never become a Director, Sponser , or Official of any club for rewards , you do it because you LOVE the said club , I love Leigh Centurions , but I also love Rugby League and will be at the Shay on Sunday ,cheering Fax on ,and im looking forward to it .

Great post Charlie, regretably I wont be there, will be up the Eiffel Tower, incidentally, twice the height of Blackpool Tower, but not as many clowns. Enjoy your day, I don't think we will meet again this season.
