I wish the club would hurry up and let us know if they are to have a link/dual reg with a SL club. Some of us need to know whether to purchase summer bash tickets, book hotels, buy new replica etcetera.
So are you saying if we do you won't do any of those things?
Let me get this straight, will you stop supporting Fax?
Fax will always be my team, they have been for over fifty years. But yes I will stop supporting them if they go dual reg. I will stop attending games, stop our small sponsorships, stop our purchasing at the club shop and stop my cashfax support. When they see the error of their ways when it all ends in tears, as it inevitability will, IF they go down the dr line we will be back supporting OUR club. The real sad thing about this ludicrous scenario is it won't be just my family who feel they won't be able to support the club if they go down this route, as I know of four other supporters who feel they couldn't follow the club of they choose to go dual reg. These fans are no fair weather supporters, they are long standing dyed in the wool Fax fans. The club needs to look long and hard about which way forward they want to go.

Cutting your nose off to spite your face? The club are talking about links with a SL club (for our benefit) and links with a Champ 1 club (for our benefit) Are you one of the people who said you'd be happy if we had links with a champ1 club to help our younger players. If you are that's just double standards.
This season coming will be one of the best in years and our league is going to be a difficult one to make it into the top 4. I'm not overly happy with DR as a concept but if our club do use it and we manage it correctly it could be of great benefit to HRLFC. You are still supporting Fax, giving your money to Fax, wearing the Blue and white of Fax, supporting the club and players of Halifax. None of your revenue will go to any other club whether its a champ 1 or SL. In fact all you will do is take away much needed revenue from the club you love and have supported for over 50 years. As I said Cutting your nose off to spite your face. Its very sad you feel that way.

Well said! The club are doing everything in there powers to try and level a very unlevel playing field.

I agree that it is sad that I feel this way, indeed Mrs Hudd-Shay mentioned this point to ne but that's the way it is. I don't agree with having a link with a Championship one club, as I have stated on here in the past I don't want Fax to have owt to do with the whole sorry mess that DR is. Halifax RLFC are founder members of The Rugby League. We are not some pit village in Wakefield or Wigan and should ve above all this. The bottom line is I don't want to go down The Shay or away on a Sunday and see some other clubs players playing for Fax for the benefit of the other club and like it or not that is the only reason a SL club would want to link up with us. That's a fact.

The reality is we are a freefall club struggling on gates that have dropped from a regular 8000 to 1250.While i am against DR personally(with super league not champ 1-I'm a double standarder)i would not stop supporting the club because of decisions that the club make which are deemed to be of benefit.Come the day we merge with the dulls and play at odsal then i feck off to Siddal.

You clearly are a true and passionate support of our club. For the past few seasons Fax have not entered into DR and I am very proud our club didn't. However the RFL introduces ideas policies and an infrastructure that is geared up to benefit the top tear clubs while letting everything below wither and nearly die. Next season we will be playing in a tougher league than ever before with full time teams and 2 ex-SL teams. If we succeed and get into the top 4 we can then watch Fax play against SL teams. I find this very exciting. However I think with a part time squad (however good they are) we may struggle to reach the top 4 of our regular season. If we are DR with a club and it is managed well and it helps us achieve our goals then we should support the club in that decision. We will only be working within the guidelines of what the RFL have set down.
You don't have to like or agree with DR. You don't have to like or agree with Halifax being DR if this is what happens. But one thing is true and that is HRLFC, YOUR club will be worse off because your not at the match.
