I used to think that it was mainly Fax fans that do not like the football team but on reflection its really not close, to say for the majority on their message board it is a vile hatred of all things Fax would be an understatement.

Halifax RLFC
Challenge cup winners a few times.
League winners a few times.
Great Britain international players.
Australian international players.
Took part in a world record Rugby League attendance game.
Proud to wear the Town of Halifax Crest on our shirts.
Our season lasts till the end of the season.
And we could go on.
Halifax Town, or FC Halifax.
Won nothing.
No international players, unless you count England C.
More police at home games than supporters.
More police horses at home games than supporters
Not allowed to wear the Town of Halifax Crest.
And to crown it off, they have to suffer Bubba and Dangermouse.
O'h and their season ended the other night, no Wemberlee no playoffs.
No wonder they are bitter.
But I wish them well.

I don't think you can say "season over" for them just yet. Just 6 points off the playoff positions, with 4 games in hand. A 30 game unbeaten home record (2009-10) and 3 promotions in the last 5 seasons isn't going too bad.

I'm a Fax fan through 'n' through, but give FCHT credit where it's due (which perhaps doesn't extend to many of their fans unfortunately).

Different town, but ask Cas about unsavoury opposition supporters...

You are confusing two things. Bitterness and jealousy. Town fans certainly arent jealous. In fact, going back to the long gone and never to return glory days of HRLFC, many people supported both clubs and there are still some that do. Also, I would be surprised if you found anybody who said that Fax's history wasnt something the town should be proud of. Rather than living on past and distant memories though, which the majority of support base wont even have been at, if any jealousy does exist in the present day it is one way. Fax fans jealous of FCHT. A well run club in a thriving and cash rich sport. Though I do understand why this would lead to some jealousy Johnny boy so I cant be too critical.

But yes, many town fans are bitter about the rugby club amplified by your majority shareholders farcical attempt to buy the stadium. Though the bitterness I suppose turned more into amusement in the end. There are some Fax fans who are extremely embarrassed by the conduct of your club but you wont find many who will admit it on here. And if the latest FOI request proves the rumours right that Fax are once again in arrears, then that really would be embarrassing.

My God! the majority of people on here love and support Fax some support both FC and Fax. the FC supporters regard their team with the same passion and love we have for Fax. Never the twain shall meet. Cant we just leave it. If people post on her form FC having a go at us don't reply and the same for FC.

If people want to send there support to FC(and for what its worth I do) do it on their forum , a football forum not here which is for Halifax RLFC.

Its like school ground squabbling.

Try looking in the mirror sunshine. Which Club went bust owing hundreds of thousands to locals? Which Club has fans that seem to love fighting the Police, rival fans and throwing Missiles on to the pitch a few times over the years? Coming on here and making out we should be ashamed of our club. What a sado you are who gets more kicks out of spreading lies about the Rugby Club and coming on here looking to cause Trouble than following your Club and sport. 3 points.

Firstly, on the FCHT forum they are once again discussing both the rent and the money that Fax APPARENTLY owe to the Venue. Whilst I agree that the club should keep up to date with its rent, if it was the other way around and FCHT were behind with the rent it would be of no interest to me whatsoever as I consider that to be between the club and its landlord and none of my business. As to the Venue, one of its staff/directors/owners posts on the FCHT forum and was asked how much, if anything, Fax owed them. He quite rightly ignored the request, NONE OF THEIR BUSINESS!

Secondly, there are several complete knuckle-draggers on there, the worst of which being a complete and utter k**b called Flea who has just started a new, completely unprovoked thread about Tony Abbott, dredging up all the bad feeling again from 2 years ago. Why? That is all over and done with.

Thirdly, it is apparently Fax's fault they had games called off as we should not have played our pre-season friendly against Huddersfield. Why? The pitch was playable and, with our season about to start and it being one of only 2 pre-season games, we needed the game time. Would FCHT have called off one of their games out of consideration for Fax? I think not.
