And that is why the magic weekend game against the bulls is another RL con. Being realistic it is two points down the swanee for us.

I agree it's a cheap ploy to merely use geography to decide who plays who regardless of whether that will provide a decent game. We were on the wrong end of the same system getting bent over by Huddersfield at magic weekend.

It's not just geography though, otherwise Fev would not be playing Leigh. They have pitted what they believed pre-season would be the best 6 teams against each other. and then decieded that they would play the full-time clubs against the part-time clubs. Whether you think it is fair or not can be debated all day. And if one club misses out on the top 4 by 1 or 2 points having lost at the Millenium weekend to a team that has won the same weekend I am sure everyone will be up in arms about the fixture list being unfair.

However it is what it is, an extra game that will hopefully bring in some cash for all the clubs, a good weekend (or day) away for all the fans. So let's all go out support our own club, moan about the unfairness with each other, enjoy the weekend and show Blackpool what a great sport we follow.

I don't think Fax need worry too much about Blackpool. We have a tradition to maintain of always losing these games, sometimes in the strangest of circumstances. We even lost to Crusaders.....or did I just dream that.

No problems for me playing the Bulls at Blackpool.
Going back for a long time they will start as favourites, full time, more funding, etc.
I am more concerned about backing against Hunslet with who knows how many Leeds players after our GF game again Bradford, that could easily be 2 points that we let slip.

And Behold, a pale horse. And on his back his name was death.

The weekend starts on a Monday.

John,I've been an Honary flat capper for around 4 years now and like Fax I have many friends in Fev,Sidnee, Cushler, Robin, Fevgrinder, and Gingdong to name just a few, last week Gingy looked after my mate Andy Gregory in the Last Orders when we lost him I wore my flat cap on Sunday,I wear nowt special for my Shay visits but again knowing Bentleyman,Pete and Mrs Hudd Shay, your good self, and I always meet a great couple a Dad and Daughter when Leigh play Fax home or away and I don't know their names,I love away games,,I can't wait for Blackpool to meet everyone I know,I seem to take a lot of stick from Faxers but it doesn't bother me, I try not to offend anyone , but some don't like me.Good luck in the Cup and again when the League starts I always look for the Fax result and have e Fax players in my Fantasy Team.

Charlie, Mrs LTD and I will be going to Blackers for Sat and Sunday and be more than happy to introduce ourselves to you. Indeed it would be great to meet all who post on here -maybe even as a group? (ncluding posters from other clubs) just to put faces to posters. After all we are all part of the rugby league family.I am sure we will have something to talk about!

It would be very nice to meet both you and your good lady LTD as you so rightly say it's very nice to put faces to posters and I really enjoy meeting other Clubs fans for a chat ,I know I get up some fans noses at times but I'm just a wind up merchant on here ,I'm not like that in person ask Halifaxjohn,Hudd Shay ,and Bentleyman who I met a few times..

Let me know your plans nearer the time, and I will be glad to meet up ,I'm a Leigh fan first but try to watch other clubs as well and make no secret that I like to watch Fax.Im of to watch Leigh Miners this afternoon in the CC and hope they can into the next round, hope to see you soon, although you do have a game at the LSV on May 10th before the Blackpool clash.Good luck at Barrow.
