It's obviously a wind up, even if there is genuinely such an offer there is no way CMBC would kick either club out. However, hopefully this FOI will allow us to move on from this stupid debate.

There is a genuine bid which i have always believed would faulter as surely any rent outstanding would be paid if the option was eviction.The bidder however believes the sum owed to council is way in excess of what has been rumoured.

I'm only passing on what i've been told.Furthermore the above mentioned cheque is alleged to have bounced whilst the disputed sum of £1200 per month was never paid
and goes back over 3 years,so you can see this is not a minor issue.Could explain why we didn't see the expected recruitment last week.......

Told by who? FCHT supporters? Hardly impartial are they? They are only ever prepared to believe anything negative about Fax and that, apparently, includes yourself.

The only statements regarding the alleged pitch leasing bid have come from Peter Noble (Flea) and he is totally obsessed in his hatred of all things Fax. Even Bubba said on your forum that he had mentioned it to 2 councillors (IIRC) and they laughed and said that no such bid existed.

This has now been going on for over a month since it was first mentioned and nothing has materialised so you will forgive me for being sceptical.

To be honest I don't know what to believe.Flea has just posted that Fax have made a recent significant payment towards the arrears,so hopefully this issue is now put to bed.

I bet he is seriously annoyed at that! How inconsiderate of them.

Edit: Just read the updated string. Those guys are bleeding hilarious! Firstly, they state that the rumour about the bouncing cheque came from a Fax fan, not quite true, it came from an alleged fan of both clubs who heard it from FCHT fans. Secondly, they think that the imaginary pitch bid put imaginary pressure on Fax to pay up the arrears. So now Flea will try to take credit for something that no-one other than him has any proof actually exists and that proof has yet to be released.

Only half daft. The decision to go to Odsal was remarkably intelligent.

I see they've now done their usual trick. When comments start getting libelous they move the string to a Members Only area.

Incidentally, I can't believe that Fax actually have their own sub-division on there where they can rip into us without the distraction of a 2-sided argument. How sad is that? Can you imagine us having a "Sod FCHT" section?
