I know it sounds like jealousy but who is funding Sheffield?
Some say they have a 'sugar daddy', some say a good sponsorship deal (who with?) some say they get RFL money as a 'development area club' (which is morally wrong as they have had a team in and around Sheffield for nearly 30 years now and Doncaster are not classed as the same yet are in a non traditional RL area).
My guess is that they get a good deal from their Council as they are a in big city their Council can afford (just) to do this as well as them having a much bigger pool of businesses to aim for but lets be honest they are a well run club and Mark Aston IS Sheffield Eagles, I have always said when he goes they will drop back.
I have to ask why he bothers when he knows they will NEVER get the support they deserve as Sheffield is a football city, go back to 1998 and the famous Challenge Cup win against the mighty Wigan which has gone down as the biggest cup shock ever (remember Wigan had won the cup from 1988 to 1995) and their crowds hardly went up at all (I was at Wembley that day and that was the poorest support by a team in the Final ever).

I'm sure that if the Leythers are promoted to SL we will still see Charlie down at the Shay next season displaying he love of Fax.

You are staying still that's the problem! Got a good team full of journeymen! You can raise it for the big games are a rough physical set but unless you can find the money too go full time your snookered! As for Leigh winning games just buy fighting we must be good at that too 25 lads just think about that and get dreaming! as for the growth hormone??? Only one lad missing at the moment mr penky! If and it's a big if do you not think it could of been when he was with you Neanderthals??

Its a good attempt but..........you know the meaning of journeymen right? Combined total between Fax and Leigh, which teams players do you think have had the most clubs? It will be a lot closer than you would think I would imagine. Especially when you consider Sam Barlow at his young age has had nearly more clubs than Tiger Woods.

Norman,whichever league Leigh are in next season I would still come down to the Shay to watch Fax if Leigh weren't playing,I love the place pity you don't have a Circus ,anyway as I have forecast you not getting into the middle 8s I'm hoping to be able to come and watch Fax again this year as you play the lower clubs in the Championship in the other play offs,it's always good to see you all and my new friend LTD who I'm hoping to see at the week end at Blackpool,good luck for the rest of the season boys.
