Prior to the General Election didn't Mr Beaumont openly say he was backing Andy Burnham and erged every one else to.
Now he is publicly backing him in the Labour Party leadership battle.
Perhaps his approach to Mr Burnham is payback time.

Good evening John, at the moment I'm watching Lanky trying to win the T20 Cup,that are 90 for 2 after 11 overs , I'd say average,anyway about Andy Burnham, I'm sure he is still the Honorary Chairman of Leigh Centurions,which may be a reason Mr Beaumont seeking his advice.I could be wrong though.

To one sided for me,I've just bought a Speedway bike,a bit of interest in my owd age I'm still trying to get the hang of not having any brakes,I may ride it round the Shay perimeter in a couple of weeks.

We're champion Ian and hope you are too. Really looking forward to our game although it is a tad tempered by our loss to the seagulls last week. I'm still wondering how we lost that one! We'll see you and the lads in a fortnight!
