I'm sure he won't come cheap, but at least we won't be paying Salford a fee.

As for the reserves, it's a decision that is based on putting all our eggs into the SL basket, plus the lack of competitive rugby our reserves faced in the past two seasons. (no Bradford and 'Fax to poop on our party of winning the play-offs - although Dewsbury did that instead, last season!) I hope your new reserves have a more fulfilling debut season. Whether our decision is the right, or wise course to take, will become apparent about eleven months from now!

Surprised and typical of the game of RL a club chopping and changing things, we did it last season and I understand there are financial pressures but the game needs stability and less of this imo
Bad move but the whole reserve set up and U23s is a mess and needs sorting for me all clubs in SL and the Championship should have a reserve/U23s team.

By not fielding a reserve side next year's shows King Degsy is either going for broke or he is not as well off as he makes out because the reserves DON'T count on the Salary Cap, it looks like a cost cutting measure to me, lucky Fax have such great Supporters to help fund our reserve side, we seem to have a better team and better fans thanks King Degsy's lot these days, it may well happen were by Degsy exits the LSV with a blanket over his head.

Having spoken to someone at the club today I think we should all be very excited about both our teams next season.
Well done once again every one at the Shay, well on the Rugby side at least.

Is your full stop button broken? That is one hell of a long sentence even ignoring the terrible grammar and spelling.

I would have liked us to have kept a reserve side but with the current format it is a joke. We played 12 games all last year. Would have been less if we hadn't made the final. Loads of those got messed around or rearranged and throw in a few non competitive 80 point massacres too and it isn't exactly the most competitive of divisions. Last year we won the league and were 10 seconds from winning the GF and that was with our 10 best kids out on loan at Barrow/Oldham/Crusaders.

I would have liked us to have kept a reserves side as we have some good kids coming through but in all honesty as it stands it isn't much use to anyone. If you want to develop players they need to be playing more regularly and at a higher standard. Hence why Leigh did/are sending so many youngsters out on loan to Championship 1.
