4th place minimum although I think 3rd is more likely. I view us as been better than the other teams scrapping for the top 4 and think we should be consistently better than them over the season. I have a sneaky suspicion we could have a very good chance of been in the fight for 2nd though and hopefully us having a more winnable game at the Summer Bash this year can help us get one over Bradford. I dont expect teams like Leigh and Bradford to take us lightly but I dont buy in to other teams figuring us out, I think it will be a case of them getting a surprise just how much us making the 8's and our off season have improved us.
John your first game last season started with a convincing away win at Haven, word went out you were going to storm up the table taking no prisoners, the wheels seemed to come off in April around our visit, history may repeat itself. Fantastic that's a very bold and brave statement, I admire your foresight,it will be wrong , but I admire it .
With respect Ian, I think you have misread the early part of the season. Yes we started off with a convincing win but, remember this was Karl's team and despite that win Richard had to alter the style of play (both for the success of the team and the benefit of the fans) It took some time for the players to adapt and to perform (in my humble opinion) beyond what some of us thought possible. Our latter part of the season proved that Richards methods were working and apart from London away very successful. It's too simplistic to say Richard and therefore Fax will get found out, to say that suggests that Richards coaching skills have been exhausted. We have strengthened on the playing side, (underwealmed some say) We have strengthened on the coaching side and our off field development is improving day by day. Anyway anything above 7th will be success in your eyes.

We need to be aiming for a top 4 finish as a minimum this season, with the additional signings we have added(competition for places) and the fact RM has had a full season to prepare. I appreciate other sides have strengthened but feel we have gone about our business both on and off the field with a view to adding more money to the coffers in the middle 8's this year and going full time next season. An appearance in the £1m game would be a bonus for me. Good luck and try get as many down to watch and support the Fax.

Folk seem to have woken up to the fact that we're not a "flash in the pan" and a real threat for this season. Maybe not for top spot (albeit Leigh's internal restructuring and fresh squad could be interesting) but it would be a bit of a disaster if we're not back in the middle eights again this time round.
Will be a very tough season for everybody. I think we can finish in the top 4, but plenty of other sides have the potential to finish in the top 4 as well. We will have to work very hard and play smart, to get in the top 4 this year. I can see Leigh losing a few games this year, if they fall in to the trap of expecting to win all games this year and get too cocky. Its easy to get up for the games against Bradford, Halifax etc. But its the games against Batley, Workington, Swinton etc away on a wet and windy day, where they have nothing to lose, that can see you drop silly points. Batley, Dewsbury, Fev may not have the strength in depth and quality at times of Leigh and Bradford. But they have the potential to beat anybody in this League and finish above us. Its not just about signing big names that will see you do well-its about getting a team to play together and for each other to the best of their ability. Its where for me, Leigh will come unstuck. If Jukes doesnt control the egos and Beaumont throws a tantrum, Leigh could easily struggle to make the 4. Very difficult to predict this season, though on paper, Leigh and Bradford the top 2. Then probably us fighting for a top 4 with London, Sheffield, Dewsbury, Fev and Batley. Then come the rest
Lots of interesting comments but all with a similar theme, totally agree we need a top 4 finish and I think we have a squad capable of delivering that. After last season I think that the squad and coaches have the belief that they are good enough to beat anybody in this league and that, along with the team spirit and genuine quality should get us in the 4. Having said that all the top 8 teams in the betting are capable of beating anybody so we cannot be complacent, and we cannot afford to lose games that we should win, London last year. Also based on the last don't know how many seasons we cannot afford to lose one away at the Seagulls, this brain fart seems to affect nearly every year in the playoffs and needs sorting once and for all.

LBC, there are a lot of ifs, ands, and buts in your post,I agree we at Leigh won't go through the season unbeaten , don't ask me where but u fully expect us to lose somewhere,if what you say about windy away days will happen, then we could lose in Sunday , away at wet and windy Batley .As for Neil Jukes he is a very good Coach, and appointing him makes it a good choice because there will be very little change in training and game day preparation, I think it is more wishing and hoping on your part. Whatever folk think of Derek B believe me the guy is NO mug, a very clever businessman who says what he thinks, and wants only the best for Leigh Centurions, whatever you have heard you can count on life at Leigh Centurions being the same as always,a winning mentality, and just for interest look for the crowd at Batley on Sunday, apparently we will have a decent away following. In my opinion by the time we visit the Shay in March ,I think Leigh will be Top of the League.Charlie knows.
