Correct. What the council needs to do is increase other revenue streams from the Shay and hopefully that will make it a more viable proposition, they can then reinvest and better support both clubs. If both clubs prosper then once again, so does the council, they need to stop being shortsighted and get the whole place sorted.

Just read courier headline "Council have to make £13m worth of cuts"

Only way any money will get spent at the Shay is through a grant of some sort.

The whole sharing experiment is treading water, there's no vision, and no brass to take things onto the next level. It could be worse, but it's not a modern stadium by any stretch.

Who lost the deeds?

I agree that there is so much more that should/could be done to make it a proper home for both clubs and more of a local asset. But the associated costs of having it as home are very reasonable given what is included in the rent, etc.
