Our support was good today, albeit a bit more subdued due to the opposition and the scrappy play. What I didn't like though, were the chants/songs having a go at the Swinton fans. The taxi chants and going down with Bradford (especially as they're nailed on for coming back up) were a bit uncalled for IMO. Give them credit, they were still urging their team on when 30-odd points down. We should concentrate on supporting our own team, and stop the sniping in the stands. A bit of banter is great, but provocation is a bit different and unnecessary.
Well said.
I don't think the chants you mention are the worst of it though, there's the cheering when we injure an opposition player, the language used I thought was uncalled for and although you expect a bit of industrial language at games, today was not the sort of atmosphere you want kids around. As you say we should stick to getting behind our team and having a following we can be proud of lets leave trying to be the most hated to Fev.
As for the game its starting to click now and its just a case of keeping winning. For me we look to have the best squad of players in the group of teams we are in and Marshall has done a great job of keeping the squad fresh while other teams struggle to get players on the pitch. We are more than capable of winning all our remaining games and taking 2nd place.
