Doh they 'live in the same house' its called the Shay and yet again you skip over the points that you don't want to reply to cos you know I have a valid point namely how much more it costs to run the stadium for Town games as they play in the Autumn and Winter when the floodlights are on and for a long time too!
You have put the knife into the Halifax RLFC Board with your words on here saying somebody is lying is strong stuff and the level of your comments is unjustified, the fact is both clubs use the Shay, I agree the rugby club should have paid their rent and argued their case for equality at the same time.
If you split hairs like the way we are all doing it gets plain daft remember this one point this is a COMMUNITY STADIUM owned by the PEOPLE OF CALDERDALE and it should be run that way but we all know there is a vendetta by the staff at the Shay against the rugby club cos they are mostly Town fans end of story. Again Town fans would not be happy if this was the other way around just admit it. Again this is all about the hatred of all things rugby by some Town fans. I like many who are fans of both clubs are sick if the vitriol, some forget it was the rugby fans who paid to kit out the South Stand bar (money from the old Taverners club at Thrum Hall) it was the rugby club (John Pendlebury) who built and kitted out the gym under the South Stand, it was mainly the rugby fans (John Burnett) who did the Raise the roof campaign to get the roof on the South stand (not sure it was for the North as well?), it was a rugby fans majority along with some Town fans who tidied up on Skircoat Road first time around which started the successful later campaign to get the Council to do something with the Shay and it was through one of the rugby club Board members (Michael Steele) that the Rotary Club have done further the tidying up along Skircoat Road, which looks great by the way.
Same rent for both and all this silliness will end what's up with that???
Oh and by the way Town played 29 games at the Shay over the 2013/14 season which included WRCC and Friendly games. Oh and they played an U19 game the other week too is that counted as one???

Live in the same house? OK, lets try a different analogy you may understand. Lets assume you and I both lived in Valley Mill apartments on Park Road in Elland. You live in a penthouse apartment and I live a couple of floors below you in an apartment half the size. How would you sensibly argue that you should pay the same rent as I even though you have twice as much space as what I do?
Valid point? I have rarely seen you make a valid point on anything. Whereas I stick to facts and the truth, you on endless occasions make incorrect statements. Par for the course I suppose.
Yoru point about the floodlights probably does have some mileage however can you back this up with fact? What is the cost difference between the floodlight usage of FCHT and HRLFC?
Please explain your vendetta comments of the Shay staff? Examples required. Half of the stuff you are rambling on about has sod all to do with the rent. The tidying up of the Skircoat Road?????
Town played an U19 game at the Shay the other week and that should be counted in the 2013/14 season??????
Rich, this and other threads highlights the gulf in class of the two clubs, nevermind the two sets of fans. Many of your supporters are embarrassed about how your majority shareholder handled the Shay purchase and how your club has handled the rent issue. There has been enough comments on here too to reflect that.
