Totally numb today.
What a huge let down, and like everybody else I am angry.
Angry with the club for making what seems to be such a basic error (typical of the amateurish way things are run at Halifax RLFC, ask the sponsors why I say this).
Angry with the RFL for leaving it so late to get the game called off and why was this not picked up straight after the Swinton game by them???

Worried as this will hit the club very hard, loss of a good pay day today and potential pay day in the next round plus money for progressing if we had played and won today. This could affect us big time, players have to be paid for today and we have no income from the match.
Loss of fans and sponsors confidence in the club.
This has made us look a joke and will not put us in a good light with the rest of the RL world and may affect our SL application.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaargh.

Maybe we need a new broom to clear out some of the dead wood at the club, trouble is who will come in and replace them??? There is always somebody though, look at Rochdale they were dead but came back, same at Donny.
Whatever happens the club MUST tighten things up and make sure that we are run more professionally, no more slack attitudes. Get TOUGH, show some leadership Board.
If the club needs some help ask us the fans, but be specific with what help you need, we may just be able to help out.

RL is a micky mouse game in reality, look at this weekends TV cup games, one a no contest the other a no crowd!

I myself then confirmed to several of my friends that the game was off & that it was official and not just rumour.

I told about 3 people as well.

I keep getting e-mails from the club re the Blog etc.

When one would have been really useful ie to say that the game was off, thereby saving me a wasted 60 mile round trip, nothing appeared. A one line statement taking moments to compile would have sufficed and, at the press of one key, could have been sent to all listed e-mail contacts of the club.

I was also galled that, having got to the ground, there was no official from the club present to explain what was happening.

Another PR shambles! Or should that be 'another shambles'.......that seems to sum up Fax nowadays.

Wonder if Nigel Wood wants to purchase all the wasted food by the various caterers at the ground to fill his fridge for a week. Bet he has one of those american style ones.

Watching Crusaders and Catalans yesterday, i believe we could have the measure of these two every time.

The club did announce the postponement on their website...it was the story that couldn't get the 3 initials of the game's governing body in the right order and littered with spelling/grammatical errors including the alleged offence itself.

How ironic that the RLF is a fellowship scheme for professional writers! You couldn't make it up....
