The Shay will always be a sports stadium and the club's will always be able to play there. His reply (after a certain amount of spin and 10000000000% promises of his best endeavours) was "I can't give you a guarantee".

So you can trust the Council? Like the Council have never tried to sell the Shay and do deals? And is there ANY Guarentee that the Council will not sell the Shay to a developer in the future? I dont trust the Council anymore than I trust Mr Abbott. But I have said my opinions. You are too blind to understand them. You have said your piece, which is fine. Now bugger off as you neither have any interest in Fax or Rugby League. So why post on here?

We don't view the Bluesox name or any of our history as an embarrassment. It was just a stupid idea by one man without consultation with the fans.

So you don't trust Abbott? Wise.

I agree that there are no guarantees either way. However in the hands of a private owner (especially with a mortgage) the risk is far greater as explained in my previous post. The council with it's varying members are bound by various legislation in relation to the sale of land and are answerable to the public and the electorate.

1. The accounts which keep being posted are up to November 2012, a year old.

2. Since then TA/Reactiv have invested £60,000 in December 2012 and a further £100,000 in July 2013.

3. The club , I believe, has since last year trimmed it's playing budget due to the current financial climate and the subsequent drop in attendances.

6. Yes, the club COULD now be further in the red. I doubt it myself but I concern myself more with the team's performance than the club's balance sheet which is down to the club's Directors and beyond my control.

I know that a number of FCHT fans would love to see Halifax RLFC go out of business but we've just celebrated our 140th Anniversary and I suspect we'll be around for a long time yet.

So you say the debt has gone down but also admit that Abbott has pumped money in? Perhaps that is why the debt has gone down?
