Just a quick update on Dave.
He is still pressing on with the physio and that is as before progress wise.
I was due to go and see him today but had to put it on hold as unfortunately he has contracted "mrsa".
He now has his personel belongings back so I have been in contact through text messages.
He is okay with it at the moment but just something else for him to battle against which I know he will do.
As soon as there are any developments I will let you know.

People with information have come forward. It's just the quality and clarity of information of events on that day have been conflicting, inaccurate, untrue and misleading, so much so that to secure a conviction based on the evidence gathered is a non-starter.
I know the 26 year old and would stake my life that he simply wasn't involved. The other two I don't know.
I don't believe the police have given up on this but sadly, despite their efforts, I think it's unlikely that any further investigation will result in a conviction now.
I saw nowt and I am most certainly not a violent man! I enjoy craic with opposition fans as my presence on here indicates, tho I did keep away for an appropriate time after the assault.
I just can't for the life of me process the notion that someone should get a kicking after celebrating a win after a game of RL. Again sadly, not all fans feel that way!
I really don't want to say owt else or engage in any great analytical debate on this.
I just like talking rugby sheeite wi folk!

I'm sorry if what i put came accross as a dig, it was not intended that way. I get so frustrated at attacks like this and people getting away with what has severely hindered the life of one young man who worked within the ambulance service which in itself is selfless.

Keep going Dave i know everyone involved with Halifax wishes you well.

Don't want to dilute this too much from thinking about Dave but I must yet again express my disappointment at the Fev fans who did do this or rather their mates who know who they are but are not coming forward with their names.
It still leaves a sour taste that day for me.

Given a vicious assault presumably by multiple people has taken place, and in the likelihood that a few people in Featherstone know who was responsible but are saying nowt wouldn't it be great if the Thrum Hall fans organised an indefinite 100% boycot of Featherstone away games until the day a trial commences.

Hit the lovers where it hurts they'll budget on a 1000 Thrum Hallers going across every year, so f**k em.

Can anyone with some clout in rugby circles try and get this going.

They could even donate their entrance fee each year into a trust fund for Dave, it's great that he is making progress and I hope with all my heart he makes a full recovery.

Halifax RL fans boycot Featherstone indefinitely and stick a tenner of fifteen quid every year in a bank account for Dave.
