For all you good folks from whichever club.
It has gone a little off topic and maybe we should start another thread so as not to get confused as to what this sticky is about.
Anyway it's no problem and since it has gone in this direction I thought it appropriate to say the following.
Just for the record shortly after the incident and to this day his family and Dave once he came out of the coma and recovered enough to have some realization of what had happened bear no anamosity and hold no grudge whatsoever against Featherstone Rovers as a club or any of their true supporters.
As to the person or persons who did this it has not been spoken about at any time in my presence or in the presence of any of the other close friends who have been there for them other than brief comments concerning how hard the police have been and still are working on the case.
Even after what has happened Dave and his family are simply not the kind of people to dwell on bad thoughts they have kept busy and focussed on getting him as well as he can become in the circumstances.
When Dave recovers enough to come out of hospital and Halifax visit Featherstone he will want to go if he is allowed to and support his team and i will take him whether he is in a wheel chair or not and nothing would bring him more pleasure than to be surrounded by a sea of blue and white.
On the other hand he would not want to influence anyone else in what they decide to do it is a very awkward situation and each must decide on what they think is best for them, their families and not for Dave or anyone else.
In the mean time keep your support for Dave coming as I tell him about it all the time and get behind Halifax as it means a lot.
Thanks for all your support.
