And Behold, a pale horse. And on his back his name was death.

The weekend starts on a Monday.

Steady on there old boy, I'm sure if the club are looking for a new ambassador you'd fit the criteria with such arrogance JD, and if those are the rules of engagement, it's see you laters from me...

"As I have said before there will be more at our final game 2015 as there were at the shambolic end of 2014."

Set your goals high eh ? That shouldn't be difficult to achieve i imagine, but when do you class as the end of the season ? I'm thinking those clubs that don't make the "middle 8", effectively finish July in the top 4 are gonna be feeling some pain after the split of divisions.
The only thing "shambolic" about the end of 2014 was the players, coaching & results. Some/many of those players remain at the club, maybe the end of this season is too early to make judgements on Marshall & Billy i think. I reckon there might be more of them leaving if they under-perform for their new gaffer 'cos unfortunately he's inherited the main part of the squad as i understand things. So, in my humbled opinion it isn't quite time as you quote "Time to move on." not just yet.

Not intended to be arrogant not in my nature as you well know.
Just my opinion.
Most posters do not agree with dual reg, I for one have never said I am against, I will just be "blindly" led by people who know more about the financial side of our club.
I do think it's time to move on, it's been decided, it won't be reversed by a few petulant people taking their bat home.
Last year we had people saying they wouldn't go again until Karl was gone. Many of those wanted Karl whilst Matt was still with us.
How does staying away help the clubs finance? It just makes it harder for the board.
Pull together, give it a go, see what happens.
Many years ago when I worked for a bank on decimalisation day one old bird told me "it won't last you know"

We are up to 20 pages on this topic now and to be honest we could go on forever. End of the day we live in a democratic country, this is an open forum, and people have different view points. You can't please everybody all of the time and people react to matters, that are important to them, in different ways. If withdrawing your suppport is your way of reacting then that is your perogative. It's a hugely disappointing approach but is your choice, as it is the BOD, as custodians of the club, to run with the DR with HKR-whether we agree with it or not. I sincerely hope that over time Fax will be successful and all supporters will re-unite and get those good times back that we all crave for. Keep smiling.

I agree, time to get behind the club now. Let's hope for a fantastic season in a highly competitive league with lots of twists and turns for all the clubs!

The truth is, concerning team selection it will be decided by RM and no he's not lying, there's no need to have to wait and be wise after the event on that one, the rest will take care of itself and last as long as it has any usefulness to both clubs.

I've never said on this thread that anyone was lying. I leave that to others. Nevertheless, one can only say what one thinks the future may bring. It's not certain and one may be wrong.

I will carry on because it's a done deal and I don't worry about what you think concerning the decisions the club takes because I know you support Eagles and not Fax.

Fine. Not sure why you mentioned that.

As regards being good for Eagles it didn't work out that way last season I seem to remember, this year it could be completely different.

What didn't work out ? :EH: Of course this year could be completely different. A lot can happen in the next nine months. Again, not sure what point you're making. :?

Sorry Griff, no offence meant but I have no interest in anything you have to say or think about what Halifax decide to do or not do and even less interest in debating about words.

Enjoy your season with the Eagles, I'm sure they will be a force as usual.

Dual reg isn't really just about Fax, is it ? Bearing in mind that only one Championship club isn't involved in it.

It's about how the game is damaged by short term decisions.

This thread isn't about the bigger issue of DR, (you will have to take that up with the RFL and the other clubs involved in it) it's about Fax going down that road and who is best placed for them to make that decision.

For me as a supporter the choices are to listen to.

1.) The opinions of outsiders from other clubs and those whom claim the club will be at the dictate of the SL club and the BOD and coach are lying when they say that is not the case.

or

2.)To trust the BOD and coach.

I choose to go with the BOD and coach.

(Also. I would never presume to try and tell other clubs what they should or should not do or even dream to think I am in a better position than them to know their circumstances.)

Up until now in previous seasons Fax as a club made their stand along with other Championship clubs (some of whom were their biggest rivals) not to use DR.

Things have changed.

Most of those clubs changed their minds and used it.
The competition has changed with the introduction of the new league set up with a chance of P and R.
The distribution of funding has changed with the most cash going to the successful clubs.
The strength of Halifax's rivals has changed.

It would appear that the Fax BOD feel the club cannot compete in 2015 and moving on with their rivals by staying as they were, for now, and only for now along with other changes at the club they have chosen to adopt DR whilst they press on to try and take the club forward.

You either adapt to the times and changes or get left behind and that's what they are doing.

Totally agree and everybody should respect an individual's choices.

In the Fax SL era when we became the Bluesox I did my uni dissertation on branding in a services industry and used the club as my reference example. When I surveyed fans i was shocked by the number who would no longer associate with the club due to such a crappy name. Sport is such an emotive subject and clubs often overlook the implications of changes which alter an individual's perception of what the club means to them. Our attendances fell during the SL era, even when we finished third we only averaged around $5k so there was an obvious impact. Yes change is inevitable, but consideration of any negative impact on fans and effective management is something clubs really do not handle well, preferring to focus only on the 'dream'. It's only when things don't work out as planned that they look at the 'what ifs', by which time it's too late to recover the disenfranchised multitudes.

Anyway, not wishing to start another argument, just my point of view.

My personal compromise for the limited time that I will be back in Halifax is that I will attend games. However, only games where there are NO HKR players involved. Take that as you wish, but the emotion to me is strong enough not to support the DR link up in the only way I can without abandoning the club I have followed for so long.

I accept your point of view. Cannot understand your compromise though. If I lived abroad and could only watch my team on odd occasions I could not miss out on the pleasure it gives me just because a player from another club was included in the team. Other than the club missing out on an odd entrance fee the only person to suffer seems to be yourself. The saying "cutting off your nose to spite your face" comes to mind. There must be more productive ways of making your point.

So many arrogant People who think they can tell us how to Support the Club and that we shouldnt dare question or raise concerns about certain things. Myself and others will question things that effect our Club. That doesnt mean we dont Support the Club, board or Coach- we just may have a different opinion or want to know a bit more info. The arrogant People on here who seem to think they can tell others how to be fans or that we should just accept things can go and do one for me. Some of These are not even Fax fans!
