I would have thought the Trac Group would have enough connections to do that. Anyway, I'm not sure how beneficial the posters are. What you need is a massive video screen or a "moving window blind" advert which really drags the motorists attention away from the road and towards the top corner of the stadium. The sign could be sponsored by Claims R Us.

Anyhoo, what happened to that "advert on a van"? I'd drive that around the suburbs of Halifax for nowt. You could sell half price tickets whilst stopping on various streets. A bit like an ice-cream van.

I reckon you could drive around one saturday morning - all over the place and then park it up in the town centre for the afternoon. I bet you could sell 300 discounted tickets. Obviously you'd need an ice cream van and a license of course.

I had an idea something similar a couple of years ago, I wanted to get Benji the open top mini coach from Walshes . I had the vision of it driving round town then up to Asda and Tesco as well. Packed with players giving out leaflets for some reason people thought I was mad. Wheras I thought it was differant and would catch the peoples attention , still it wouldn`t do for us all to think alike. :)

Seriously, i think there's mileage in it. You could get some genuine ordinary fans volunteering to man the bus and help with leafleting. I don't think it's a mad idea at all.

Loving the hypocrisy of some.

I agree, but he does, for once, have a small point. There is a marketing bloke on the club board who suggested the club will be getting 10,000 fans on average at home games. Surely having up to date fixture notices outside the stadium are a very small, and easy task to carry out as part of the ambitious attendance wish?

“I am delighted to be involved in Halifax RLFC and am looking forward to the challenges ahead and throughout 2011 to increase the support from the local community. Over the last few years I have been a supporter of Halifax and was delighted when they won the Championship last year, the ultimate goal is to bring the attendances back to where it use to be and by hook or by crock the plan is to achieve 10,000 supporters watching the game at the Shay”
Halifax R:FC Website

The plan is to ....................

I imagine that plan would only come to fruition in SL.

He didn't say "the club will be getting 10,000 fans on average at home games" Bubba.
