I don't want to see any RL club in difficulty but as far as Des is concerned, the man is an egotistical bully! He threatened the players during his rants, has got rid of numerous coaches after continually interferring with their running of the team and now is trying to emotionally blackmail the fans. The only thing I can't figure out is how running an RL club helps his planned invasion of Poland.

On a serious note though, this is what the RFL has reduced the game to. Prior to the creation of SL the only thing that was discussed was the rugby. Now all you hear is supporters belittling other clubs and their supporters, tearing their ground/facilities/finances to pieces and trying to raise their own club's status by doing down the others.

I really fear for the future of RL in this country.

All the Championship sides seem to have the same thing in common we`re all short of money. I think it`s time that some of the Sky money was shared out a bit more evenly and some of it given to us.

I feel a little sad for both teams but in the end both of them will be okay... Both are big enough names to attract some interest and there is often someone willing to come in (but often on their own terms following administration; Wakey, Us, Donny, Gateshead etc.) and the clubs may not look exactly as they did before the process.

It seems farcical to me that the RFL cannot see that the current structures are damaging the game below the top tier.

Having said that Barrow have done themselves no favours.
Following their GF win they had a real chance to capitalise on the renewed interest but instead they increased gate prices and there was little added marketing to generate a renewed buzz the year after.
The Chairman is completely against funding any sort of renovation work to that dilapidated stadium of theirs and the fans groups are responsible for the little improvements that continue to be made.
They had a moment to press on in 2009 and 2010 when it was obvious that they had spent the money to get them into a good position but I think they missed the bus and they now look to have a Chairman who is becoming impatient and bored with what he's got.
