People concentrate on the point you get for losing but you also get an extra point for winning and drawing. If no game was won or lost by more than 12, the league positions would be the same and we'd all have 20 more points than the old 2-1-0 system.

The only teams who lose out are the teams who lose by more than 12.

What's wrong with that?

I think you're kidding yourself here. You make it sound like Sheffield had a deliberate plan to lose by less than 12 whereas other clubs thought, "Oh we've lost here, may as well make it a big one".

I'm still waiting for one of the Barrow fans that were quick to shoot down talk of 'brown envelopes' (to coin a phrase) to come on here and tell us what the crack is. Come on chaps, you know who you are. What's the word up there?

I think you're reading things that don't exist. All I mean is Sheffield made sure they played the 80 minutes abd kept themselves in games. Therefore getting a bonus even in a losing effort.

You really do have a chip on your shoulder when it comes to people talking about Sheffield don't you?

I've been reading their forum on the other site, and no one seems to know whats happening, and those who claim to be in the know, won't let on.

Read a tweet this morning (think it was from Richie de la Riviere, who tweeted about a club potentially having points deducted) saying the RFL have been investigating Barrow since March, and choose to punish them the week they themselves have less credibility than Des J

I think they will be screwed next year. If they broke the salary cap in 2010 then added Thackray, Gleeson and others it is going to be even worse next year

Quite a good chance of that, though they might suggest they got rid of a few players to accommodate them?
