Will find out if he's another Des when we play boxing day friendly, cos if they don't thrash us by at least 20 then they should be interviewing for a new coach in January.

God I can’t wait for Boxing Day now. COME ON FAX!

Shock horror probe! Chairman tries to promote club. Keighley are trying to do what they should do at this time of year - trying to sell season tickets, shirts and other merchandise.

The board have worked hard to get a squad that can compete better than last time but most Keighley fans are realistic enough to know that this will be a very tough season. I'd be over the moon if we could sneak into the playoff's.

Looking forward to our game and as long as we compete I will be happy.

They should beat us by at least 20 points because they have made stronger signings than us Keighley are looking very strong.

other clubs had been moanin , but was willing to only name batley , oh dear , and where have we been moanin

I really wish our chairman wouldn't say stuff like this. I pretty much cringed at every syllable that came out of his mouth. Disrespecting the opposition at board room level is just not right. Not to mention it writes Rhino's team talk for him.

Hi u keighley fans nice to see you all reading our page, most of you will know who I am and along with big Dave outside ya bar on match days I cheer/shout louder than most when Fax don't have a game. I wrote the piece hoping that one of Rhino's team read it cos as stealth say's it would be a good team talk and it also gets the banter up between the Fans which equals betta atmosphere & and a good game, rather than be a dreary friendly. I've only quoted him and afta speakin t JD he woz not amused.
The parts I didn't like woz him saying that we were unable to get sponsorship(without his help), which we appear to be doing well at this year. Also when I was talking to him and he commented on our franchise application, which I hope Mr Steele would like to natter to him about! Grant U the latter woz just t me and my son in person, but it struck a nerve.

i think this may be another one of the infamous quotes, such as, "The best in this league by a Country Mile".

However i admire the fact that the keighley Chairman is willing to add fuel to the fire and make the "friendly" interesting

Yeah bring it on. Might actually make a Boxing Day friendly worth watching as usually they are really a big waste of time.
