I bet you lot would love it not to work with Raynor The real facts are, the man scores tries, and returns the ball very well and has done so at he highest level consistently.
He scored two tries for the "Dulls" in last years cup against who i forget! one of them he took an inside ball from a scrum turned on the afterburners and blew the opposing defence away
Why should we care? No-one has been bitter or disdainful, yet you decide to stick out your bottom lip. Jog on.
Well, I (kind of) cared when Fax signed Paul White when we were sniffing. Then nipped in for Maloney and Gleeson when they'd all but signed for Fev. When Barrow signed Rooney and Catic when both were on the radar at fev. It [then] told me that Fev still weren't in the market for the top players at our level and other clubs still had the 'balance of power - I use that metaphor loosely.
As a club we've kicked on a bit since then and now we are in a position to compete with any club for the best players - for now at least. Raynor has come available to us and in my opinion at least, will strenthen our squad, possibily putting that chink more daylight twixt fev n fax.
Maybe you care about that?? Maybe you don't. Maybe you agree with my comments? Maybe you don't?
Like I said, 2-3 or so years ago - I cared. But that's just me. Re Raynor - Some won't give a toss! C'est la vie.
TBH, Robin, I wouldn't have been excited had he signed for Halifax. Maybe he deserves a chance, and Fev have been good enough to give him that chance. But, why has he not signed for another SL club if he is that good a player? I'm not being critical, but there must be a reason.
I think he is past it and didnt do that much at Bradford and did I not read he has had some personal problems that likely have taken the toll on him?. Glad we didnt sign him as think Rob and White are better wingers to be honest.

Fair enough LBC, I can see why you might arrive at that conclusion. He is 33 and has been "out of the game" for a while. However, he has [past tense] played at the very highest level (much higher that white or Worrincy) and but for an alleged midemeanour [conditional Tense] he would be playing Super League this season. Past it?? He was one of only a couple of players to come out of a series v Aussies with any credit.
White and Worrincy are fine wingers. If it doesn't go right for Raynor we have Tom Carr stepping up. Raynor's signing has set up some lively debate as to who is the best winger - many firmly believe Raynor is the best for that shirt - there are those who believe in Tom Carr we have another belter off the youth production line and should have the shirt regardless. It's a nice position to have.
Both Worrincy and WHite are decent wingers at our level - but there are reasons they are playing at our level and not SL! Better than Raynor?? - well not in the past they weren't - maybe they are now. We'll see!

2 super league rejects are better than a proven SL player. Will be a good signing if he isn't in the nick.
That game was just after the appointment of Nobby IIRC. At the time we had the worst defence in the league, our lass could of scored against Fax at that time.
The player who stands out most in this clip is the mighty Makali Aizue, think he'll come into his own in 2012 now we have surrounded him with even more 'beef'.
