Heywood rd only had a capacity of just over 5000? And they couldn't fill that i know my uncle used to go and watch and come home and tell me how poor the crowds were there.
It doesn't matter what financial clout they have the fact is Salford or Manchester people will not take to Union they only just take to RL and we’ve had an RL club for over 100 years. Salford and Manchester is Football first by a country mile then RL followed by cricket RU is miles away why do you think Sale decided the move away to Stockport? They had a good period where they won the premiership but since then have done nothing supporter wise.
