And Behold, a pale horse. And on his back his name was death.

The weekend starts on a Monday.

Did anyone go to the Shirt launch today, or has everyone just seen pics of it?

I got to Harveys at 1pm and was told by the shop assistant, 'the shirt launch had finished earlier this morning due to a lack of interest'. Seen as though the event was advertised to finish at 2pm, it is hardly suprsing that there hadn't been much interest.

With such half-hearted marketing, how do the club expect to attract new fans? Let alone sell the shirts to existing fans.

:MOTOR:
If the fans like the shirt they will buy it, probably from the shop. Malcolm says he has plenty of stock.
I think it's a shame to say "half hearted marketing" as I think it's a shame you have in the past criticized the board. Sometimes things may not seem as professional as you would like but tonight at the "covering of the pitch" the usual suspects were there including Malcolm, Mike Riley and his lovely wife Sheila and some more from "behind the scenes"

They all work very hard and if every thing isn't to every ones satisfaction it's not from lack of trying.

No disrespect intended.

The shirt has a collar combined with a round neck front. Proper embroidered crest again.

I have no doubt that the board members are committed, and it is commendable that on a freezing cold Saturday evening they are at the Shay trying their best to get tomorrows match to go ahead.

It does displease me though when I travel to Harveys from Rochdale for an event advertised on the clubs website that hasn't gone ahead.

I am a diehard Fax fan and I will continue to support Fax regardless of their unprofessionalism off the field. They have, however, missed out on a sale from me today and it does make me wonder why I bother supporting the Fax events, if the club show less enthusiasm than the supporters.

All I can do is shake my head and wonder? Why if you came all that way, what 15 miles? why didn't you go to the club shop and buy one there.

ps, if you were left with nothing to do, why didn't you come and put the covers on?

08.00 hours tomorrow, we will be taking them off. Will you be there.

:SHHH:
No thought not.

As I said earlier, no disrespect intended, but as the saying goes "with friends like you, who needs enemies"

If you read the website it says they left Harveys to go and sort out what was happening with the pitch after the Town match was called off and also because Harveys was very busy with sale customers

I think the above is a tad unfair on Matt (RFF). I do see both sides of the story too. However the club did publicise the event to run till 2pm so should have ensured club representatives were there. I was going to take my little ones just after 1pm to see the players and they were excited until one of them decided she wanted to throw up everywhere!! If I had got there and the launch had finished earlier than marketed I would have been pretty cheesed off and I live in Sowerby Bridge!! Also to expect Matt to hang around for 4 hours just so he can pull some covers on thus making him a diehard fan is also a little OTT for me? I suppose me not Being their or attending tomorrow means I too am not entitled to an opinion??

Whilst I'm on my soapbox, I suppose John you have offered your time to Linda and the Trust to shake a bucket at the game on Sunday? I don't recall anybody coming forward yet??

BTW I stand at each game and collect!!

My point here though in all seriousness is don't think there is any need to have a pop at a fan who made a specific journey to buy club merchandise and was unable to do so. I do think this is poor by the club and will take it up with them as feedback.

I like it. Its different in a way with the tribal like patterns. Also the club have done well here as they have gone for a traditional blue and white hoops home shirt, and a modern away shirt. Some will prefer the home and some the away, so I think they will do well in away shirt sales to add the already large amount of home shirt sales.

This is a good post I too feel that some of the comments are unfair on matt who travels from Rochdale not only to support the team but support events organised by the club and the trust and can understand is frustration at his journey from Rochdale today being made a complete waste of time. I was unable to help put the covers on the pitch today due to having my 14 month daughter but I applaud everyone who was involved in getting the covers on and all the efforts being made to get the game on tomorrow I again will not be able to help get the covers back off again tomorrow due to the fact my partner will be working so again I will have my daughter I will however be attending the game. I need to speak to Linda/Chris about our involvement in this years Fax fund builder another sponsored event will be organised.

Back to the actual shirt I think it's very smart. No idea what those markings are supposed to be mind but it's a nice top.
