Shame you will have to give this all up to become a SL feeder club next year if the RFL go ahead with their changes.
Remember on the field counts for very little when Fat Controller and his crew sit down and decide who is in or out of SL.
Fev are a well run club but face the facts you are too small to compete and will never get big enough crowds plus even with the new stands POR is not in the same league as 80% of SL grounds plus the Shay and LSV.

Well thank goodness that Mr Sadler isnt in control of anything strategic with decision making like that.

(a) Fev have not applied yet within this licencing period
(b) They are unfortunately just a small town in the Wakefield District with 2 other Super League Clubs already there.(that is just a factual statement not a derogatory one)
Frankly that is the biggest stumbling block to argue they have a viable catchment area of increased supporter base on promotion. The only way the crowd increase is likely; is if Cas and Wakefield are struggling and Fev do better. It isnt improving anything for SL just creating yet more competition in the limited Wakefield catchment area. (if only we had that problem in London!!)
(c) They just lost a cup final to a team who is rapidly taking the mantle of the best team in the championship from them or certainly challenging that assumption. A team that are already in the licencing application process. A team that is financially viable and most importantly a ground already fit for SL starting 2013.

And Halifaxjohn after one of their coaches knocked one of our fans over in Blackpool I am not just the minority Pal.

Every time we play fev there is trouble, with Leigh and barrow in the finals we had no problems at all.

Fev are only where they are because of Powell and he's at the wrong club!

I say it should be Fev, I really would love it if it was and lets see how it works out for them.

If they get a chance and wether they can make a success of it or not will set a precedent.

If they make a go of it then that says that some top championship clubs could well be capable of making the step up.

If they do not make a go of it and fail then i can easily seeing it being a major step back for them as another shot for them or any other championship could well be virtually zero.

Not much at stake then Fev/ Fax.

To roll the dice or not to roll the dice if given a chance, very big risk to me if you are not absolutely sure.

Now then after all the talk of how good anybody is who really wants to put there club on the gambling table with this lot in charge.

With this in mind how the bl*****dy hell can the RFL just say that all this now means nothing and you will have to just lose this and have some Super League clubs acadamies playing for you.

How will this work, who will go and watch them for one thing.

What will happen to all the clubs current academy lads.
What will happen to the time and money that has been spent.

I just can't get my head round this at all, I must be missing something.
Who the hell thought this one up, wether it happens or not just proposing it shows they have no idea at all as to what the fallout will be.

Well Super League looks like it`s in for a bumpy ride at the moment, I read this morning an outburst from Catalans spokesman threatening to withdraw Cats from Super League because of the poor referees. The implications are that referees are delberatly penalising them out of games, some are saying it`s because the RFL don`t want them at finals because of poor attendances. Coupled with that the RFL are still trying to sort out the Bradford mess , there are only 4 or 5 teams at the top of Super League that do well anyway all the others are just there to make up the numbers.

I hate to mention this but, so far this season, we have averaged 2,172 and Fev have averaged 2,236.

.... and Halifaxboi12, we are trying to move on and you're not helping at all. I would lay odds that you were one of the loud foul-mouthed little scrotes who we had to put up with on our coach all the way back from Blackpool (probably the same group who were kicking a Fev coach as well) and who very near ruined our day.

If you weren't one of them then I apologise but I'm just pointing out that we get groups of idiots attaching themselves to Fax as well, particularly at finals.
